1965 Mustang with C4 auto trans and 200CU I6 engine. Working heater and AC but AC needs recharged. I've spent nearly $9000 redoing this car. not including what I paid for it. ($4000+ in paint!) All new interior. (Seat upholstery. carpet. headliner. door panels. dash cover. speaker tray. trunk divider. sun visors. door sill plates. etc. ) Carpet is also modern style insulated cut pile molded carpet instead of the old ugly hook and loop style. 95% of rubber and weather stripping has been replaced. New parts: windshield. brake shoes. hood. window rollers and felt. starter and relay. engine bay wiring. battery. radiator hoses. ignition wires. fuel pump. plugs. distributor cap. points/rotor. valve cover. air cleaner. both fuel filters. exhaust manifold/gasket. fuel lines. vacuum advance module. parking brake cables. trans shaft seal. u-joints. shocks. most bushings. brake light covers. radio antenna. door/ignition locks. gas cap. front valance and rock guard. bumpers. rocker covers. and I'm sure I'm missing other stuff. Has an aftermarket carburetor instead of the pathetic stock Autolite model as well as a huge 3 core aluminum radiator. No rust and never has had any. clean AZ title. starts and runs well. all lights/signals work. all gauges work. runs nice and cool. and is a blast to drive being so lightweight. It does have the stock worm style steering box so it does have a little play in the wheel but isn't a big deal. Turns heads everywhere but it is a 6 cylinder so it's more about the spirit of driving it than the speed. You won't win any races but will look pretty snazzy everywhere you go. Moving across country so it has to go. Perfect candidate for a V8 swap and I have a 5 bolt complete rear end with brakes for extra if interested which that can be discussed over as well as a full set of 5 lug bullitt rims and tires. I drive this car daily and it's a blast. Can't go anywhere without people giving a thumbs up or sparking up a conversation. This car never fails me. always starts and runs great. and gets me everywhere I need to go. The bad: aftermarket front fender isn't perfect and so the lines could use some adjustment but aren't bad. The door latches could be replaced but work fine. close. and lock. They're just a bit worn and were on backorder with CJ's when ordering parts so never got around to them. There's a few chips in the driver door edge as shown in a picture and one of the glass chrome moldings is a little warped and could use replacing; nothing major. Will consider all fair offers. Clear AZ title in hand and in my name. Shipping can be arranged but you must pay and do the legwork. Please contact me with any questions of if you're in the Arizona area and would like to stop by and see it or do a test drive. Car is for sale locally and auction may end if I get a fair price offer on it. The last few photos were of it in the process of getting it to where it is now. Everything was removed for a proper paint job. even the glass and door handles. Car was appraised at $13k but not expecting that in this market. The paint alone was over $4k. is not some cheap Maaco job. and has a very nice transferrable warranty. Blue metallic with oxford white stripes and a sparkle clearcoat. POPS in the sun!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------To those who keep asking me everywhere why I am selling this beauty after dropping so much money into it and even acquiring some of the V8 swap parts:My personal "fun car" is a 1964. 5 Mustang converted to a built 331 with G-Force 5 speed trans. 4-linked and coilover suspension. 9" rear. custom body work and interior. etc. etc. My dream build basically. This car was being built for my wife so she we could have somewhat matching cars to take to shows and so she could have something nice/classic. but without going over the top like mine. I planned to drop in a roller 302 and a T5 and already have some V8 parts as mentioned such as the rear end. More attention would've been had to make it a show car instead of a daily driver. What happened? Well lets just say that an unfaithful wife and me filing for divorce because of it (Yay pre-nups!) luckily allowed me to keep this beauty. complete enough to make it a nice daily driver. and now pass it on to someone who will appreciate it and give it the time/love it deserves. I literally drive this car every day of the week and love it. But the reason for fixing it up has left a bad taste in my mouth and I'd rather see it gone! That is why its for sale. It's not a perfect car or a show car by any means. but it is very solid and dependable. Not some scrap car that's been sitting for years rusting and needs a lot of work to drive daily. If you're going to show up in a 2012 Civic and try and compare the ride and smoothness of the two then please save me the need to beat you down and don't bid. This is a car built 50yrs ago with leaf spring suspension and manual steering backed by an inline 6 and a carburetor. It is not going to ride like a new car. For what it is it is a pretty decent ride. but the next owner of this car should buy it for the classic car fever and joy that comes with owning one. It's the spirit of the drive and pride in owning a classic you can easily work on or modify yourself. GOOD LUCK BIDDERS!If you live in the southwest I can assist in transport or meeting you for gas money and my time. Please contact in advance to discuss options if interested in that. SERIOUS BUYES ONLY! I can't stress that enough. $500 deposit due through paypal upon purchase and the rest will be required upon pickup or before shipping.
