Car description

Up for sale is a 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ equipped with the 4.0 HO EFI inline-6, 4 wheel drive, 5-speed manual, 3.73 axle ratios, “Jurrasic Park” windshield light hoop, and metal half-doors. The famous 4.0L straight six underhood produces approximately 40psi at hot idle and turns the 35” Falken Wild Peak tires without issue. This Jeep is very dry underneath, with no noticeable leaks. The 4x4 system works in 2H, 4H, and 4L. This Wrangler is covered in Jeep Intense Blue over black interior, which includes the “family” style roll bar. The top is a Rampage unit that can be installed in several configurations and has sliding side windows with zippered rear windows. The interior features smittybilt vinyl front seats and, like the undercarriage, is coated with a protective film of light bedliner material. The vehicle was painted Intense Blue by its current owner from its original teal prior to the installation of the fender flares. The Jeep runs well and no warning lights are on, as shown by the videos. The 90’s upshift arrow even still works. The current owner is selling to accommodate his growing family.

The previous owner installed the custom front bumper, winch with wireless remote, suspension and body lifts, new water pump, distributor cap, spark plug wires, spark plugs, custom exhaust and side steps. The current owner has never used the winch, and has lost the remote. Although no paperwork was provided, the previous owner also installed a rebuilt transfercase, which does feature a newer finish compared to the rest of the driveline. Within the last few hundred miles the current owner has had the clutch master cylinder replaced and had the front axle oil, real axle oil, engine oil, and rear brakes serviced. Accordingly, this Jeep runs and drives well for its age with tight steering and quick engine response. The current owner also had a stereo system installed which includes a new Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-10 and JVC KD-R99MBS. The subwoofer is installed in a manner that allows it to be easily removed when the Jeep is stored. The tub, which features Quadratec fender flares to provide clearance for the 35” tires, is rust free. The chassis and windshield frame are very rust free, with light bubbling confined to the driver side bumpstop and trailing edge of the windshield frame. Images are provided in the gallery and several videos, including a thorough undercarriage walkaround, are available. As the videos and images show, the paint has a few imperfections but has a great glossy metallic finish. The heater blower motor works when direct power is applied. However, the fan speed switch is inoperative. This Wrangler is not perfect, but drives well for its age and gets thumbs up everywhere it goes. This Wrangler is sold AS-IS, so bidders should feel free to ask questions and view the youtube videos.

AS-IS: This is a nearly 28 year old vehicle sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied, so transparency is king. We are happy to try and answer questions bidders might have prior to purchasing.

PAYMENT: PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT TO YOUR BID. We require a non-refundable $250 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of winning or commitment to purchase unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, the transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment We will accept bank wire transfer or cashier's check.

SHIPPING: We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. The winning bidder is welcomed to trailer the Jeep home.

DRIVE IT HOME: If you plan to buy and drive the Jeep home, please keep some things in mind. As the videos show, this Jeep runs and drives well. However, anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially an antique one. We recommend getting to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If the buyer chooses to drive the vehicle home, the buyer accepts all responsibility once it leaves the seller’s garage.

DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE: We have the clean Georgia title in hand and, will provide the ignition key, title, and a bill of sale signed by the owner once full payment is verified. It is the buyer’s responsibility to register and insure the vehicle upon payment and subsequent transfer of title. Georgia exempts most vehicles 25 years or older. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to check their state/country's laws prior to purchase.

VIN VERIFICATION: We photograph the primary VIN location of a vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title. If needed, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify secondary VIN locations their specific state may inspect, prior to purchase.

MILEAGE/CONDITION: The Jeep may get moved around or test-driven before sale. Slight differences in mileage may result so if it is important to the buyer, please confirm current miles prior to purchase. The seller has tried to cover the obvious and do their best to describe the Jeep's condition in detail. Serious bidders have and are scrutinizing the photos. All photos are high-resolution, and there are a lot of photos. They include close-up shots of the body panels, and the walk around video available goes all under the Jeep. The seller has endeavored to present the vehicle accurately and give all the information a bidder might need to help them in their decision process. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure.
