47 Willys Jeep

Full custom, ground up build with new store bought high-end parts! It is registered and in my name as a 47 Jeep even though the whole thing was built new just a few years ago. There has been absolutely no expensed spared in this Jeep. Body is a very well built and thick fiberglass body, never to worry about rust issues again, ever and it has no cracks anywhere, it is so thick that even the hood close with a thump! The frame is a late model Jeep frame, boxed and reinforced throughout. Engine is a 350 Chevrolet 4 bolt main, steel crank, forged pistons, decked, lined bored and balanced. Cylinder heads have been completely gone through including larger valves, springs, retainers, studs and roller rockers. Quiet Gear drive, with a mild street cam for long hours of idling. Aluminum radiator with temp controlled electric fan, never gets hot even after running all day. Electronic ignition, hooker headers, chrome or aluminum everything possible on the engine. Transmission is a professionally built power-glide automatic with a manual shift valve body, aftermarket transmission cooler and heavy duty torque convertor, this transmission is bullet proof. Drive shafts are new with heavy duty u-joints and retainers. Front and Rear differentials have I believe 4:11 gears, been too long and cannot remember, disk brakes in front with Warn hubs and large drums in the rear. Wilwood master cylinders with steel braid throughout. The chassis has an aftermarket front sway bar that is easily disconnected for trail riding and full oscillation. Power steering with remote reservoir make the huge Mickey Thompsons turn easily. The suspension springs are, medium duty in the front and I have two sets for the rear, both included. At the moment I have extra firm springs in the rear for dune driving, in an hour they can be replaced with the extra soft springs for trail riding. Dual shocks (Chrome) in the rear and single (Chrome) in the front. Steering linkage (Chrome) is very tight with absolutely no play at all, this Jeep drives very well and tight going down the road. The wheels are Mickey Thompson polished aluminum with 35x14.50 15 Super Swampers, with good tread still on them. Both front and rear bumpers are set up to be air tanks if needed. Fuel cell is located in the rear along with the battery under the polished aluminum diamond plate using half turn fasteners for easy access. Talking about fasteners, stainless steel and most all polished are used throughout the entire Jeep. Full roll cage with padding everywhere, the seats are in fantastic condition with heavy padding and Simpson quick disconnect seat belts and buckles. The gauges are digital and all work except the speedo (never hooked up) and the fuel gauge (I believe this is either not hooked up or the sender hasn’t been installed, I really cannot remember). Oil pressure usually runs 45-55psi depending on how long you have been driving, the temp gets up to 195 max, and it only gets that high because I have a 195 thermostat in it. The dash is spun aluminum, has a tilt steering column, there is a master disconnect switch hidden for extra protection and the Jeep has an alarm system as well. I have had the Jeep for about 5 years and have rarely driven it, mainly parades, shows which it usually wins every time, trails and dune riding. After anytime I take it off road it goes straight in for detailing. It has never seen rain or snow and yes is parked inside covered and connected to a charger. I start it every week as I do with all my toys just to keep things soft and fresh. There are a few paint chips here and there, nothing major at all but with tires like this you are just going to get them. I am certain I am leaving off many things. I just don’t use it enough and rarely take it out so it is time for someone else to enjoy it. It can’t have more than 3,000-5,000 miles on her. I change the oils every year even though I’m sure doesn’t need to be done. Be prepared when you stop, people will start taking pictures and asking you a hundred questions, the kids love it and think it is a big toy, I guess it really is. She will drive down the highway at 70 mph all day long and is very very quiet! Make sure to watch the video and hear her run, it is absolutely smooth as silk running and has, get this… zero rattles or noises which is really unheard of with a Jeep. It is an absolutely exceptional Jeep that has more money in it than I want to list here (let’s just say upwards $35,000) but she just sits now. Any questions please hesitate to ask.
