Car description

1986 Jaguar XJ-SC Targa Convertible, beautiful car, runs, drives and brakes great, powerful smooth 5.3l V12 engine, automatic transmission, targa roof panels with rear Landaulet convertible roof, you could drive this car every day (except in snow). I drove it to work for a few weeks without problems (except for an empty gas tank). This is not a show quality trailer queen for $25k. The body has a few golf ball dings and imperfections, the convertible fabric inside is worn from the sun. The engine runs well and just had a tune-up. They are slowly getting rare with only 5,013 cars made. Very low 60,200 original miles.
Good:- Beautiful original unrestored car- Raretarga roof with rear Landaulet convertible roof- Powerful smooth 5.3l V12 engine- Runs, drives and brakes great- Reliable automatic transmission- Very reliable, drove it to work for a few weeks without problems- Goes 100+ mph with ease- Quite fast when shifting manually (1st gear goes to 60 mph, 2nd to 100+ mph)
Imperfections:- Original 30-year old black paint has imperfections- Golf ball dings on the right side (see pictures)- Two dings on the front right corner of the engine hood(see picture)- Scratches on the front of theengine hood(see picture)- Targa panel outside fabric has a few imperfections(see picture)- Level on driver side targa panel does not retract pins (use fingers)- Convertible roof inside liner worn and torn(see picture)- Leather damaged under rear right ashtray(see picture)- Chip in the windshield on the passenger side(see picture)- Engine needs to warm up for a few seconds when cold (idles low)- Leaks oil like any original 30-year old car- Odometer reset stick does not work- Interior light does not work- Air conditioning might not work (never used it)- Cruise control might not work(never used it)- Tires have good thread, but are old and hard (XJS tires are cheap)
