Car description

I will try to get more pictures linked in somehow. I am selling my 1985 Honda CRX Si, built into a JDM Ballade Sports clone. Car has many rare, nd JDM parts. It is a used car, 0 years old, o it does need some work. I am the second owner, cquiring the car in 1997. Drove it often before we had kids, ut a CRX is not a family car, o it took a backseat to the minivan since the CRX doesn't have a backseat. Car has some rust, ome floor rust and rocker panels but not superbad for an east coast car. Some rust in the fenders, ut pretty solid. The car needs paint. Paint is peeling on the top, nd the hood from bad body work on the hood (place is out of business now). The car has a genuine 1.6L DOHC JDM ZC engine, ut I have a painted D16A1 valve cover on it now. I still have the JDM brown valve cover in the attic, o go with the car. Has a 1.6L DOHC engine, 1988 Integra transmission, K&N panel filter, northodox racing underdrive pulley, n aluminum flywheel, aylor vertex plug wires, nd a genuine PJ1 JDM ECU for the ZC engine. Exhaust is thru a DC Sports header, hen a Random technologies HiFlow catalytic converter and out a Summit Racing muffler with dual Monza tips. Suspension is 4 corners Tokico Illuminas, ith rear Eibach sport springs, ith an Addcco rear sway bar. The wheels are polished 1986-87 Si 14" wheels (need to be repolished) with 185/55/14 Federal tires. (Will check tire model number)Brakes are 1988/89 Integra front calipers with Metal master pads, nd Brembo slotted rotors. Rear are original drum brakes and I will throw in some new shoes I have not installed. Brake lines are stainless steel Goodridge lines. Headlights were converted to use 9003/H4 bulbs, ut easy to swap back (a plug). The passenger side door cap has a crack, ut I think I have spare door caps. Have reproduction DOHC decals on door caps, I may have spare decals as well). The rear spoiler is getting kinda spongy, ut I believe I have a good condition spare. I have JDM emblems and badges on the car, ike the door pillars, he rear Si emblems, nd the Ballade Sports emblem. I have spares, s I had planned to 100% restore the car. I also have JDM lights for the car. The JDM taillights are on the car now, have the JDM corners in a box. The interior has a working JDM digital dash WITH correct dash surround. Also has a rare trip computer which used to at least work as a clock but I guess sitting in the sun, he display flaked out and some LED segments are not visible. May be repairable, don't know. The floormats are reproductions, ith red lettered CRX SI embroidered on them, s well as the rear cargo mat cover. The dash is great, o cracks I can see. The passenger seat is great, he drivers seat has some tears at the seam and on the side vinyl but not the fabric surface. I have not smoked in the car. Also has rare foglight switch, ut foglights not hooked up. The climate control switch assembly is cracked and loose, ut I have a spare. I also have the original hood to go with the car. I have MANY spare parts, poiler, oor caps, think rocker panel covers, new old stock front nose panel, ood, aillights, ooling fan, nd more. I also have a bunch of JDM brochures, nd a toy or two to throw in with the car. Motor runs fine, ust needs fresh gas. I still drive it. Car has about 130k on it, nsure of mileage on motor, ut it was stated to be about 45k when I got it in 2002, hen swap was done. When engine was swapped in in 2002, alves were adjusted, eals replaced. The idle does lope after the engine warms up, ut is typical with the old gunked up fast idle valve on these old cars. But as with any used car, nspect. I used to go to car shows, nd even the Niagara CRX meet in 2002 or 2003. Car still drives fine, ike a go kart on steroids. Handles well. Likes to go. Gets great gas mileage, bout 35mpg not babying the throttle. It does have working air conditioning, ut needs recharged (R134 converted) and an AC thermostat (I have). radio is from a late model Prelude with amber backlight, nd CD player. Works fine, as security code. I will update this listing as it goes on with more pictures (only 12 allowed on ebay) and things I remember as I go. Car is located in Westminster, aryland, ip 21158, nd bidders are welcome to look at and inspect car. If you are close, have no problem with a mechanic looking it over. However, e warned, t is a 30 year old project car. But these are becoming classics now, nd this is an unusual one that gets stares and comments many places I go. It's an original old school Si. All sales are final, o returns, r warranties given or implied. Car is sold AS IS, ith buyer understanding it is a project cat that needs work, nd there may be issues I am unaware of. YOU are responsible for transporting, nsuring, nd tagging vehicle. It is historic here in Maryland and won't require inspection or emissions if tagged historic.
