1959 GMC 1 ton 8 foot flatbed farm truck eight lug four-speed six cylinder thrift master engine. This truck looks like it was restored in the 80s then put out To weather. Has Dunlop bias tires with 95% tread but are dry rot. Was an original green truck painted red all panels seem to be original due to some red paint weathering off to show some of the green. Glass looks good but Some delamination on the vent glasses in the windshield. Looks 100% complete besides missing a battery and passenger wiper arm . Both doors are average condition with some rust separating the skin in some areas. Both have original weatherstripping still in place. The fenders are also Average condition with normal rust shown in the pictures several inches from the door up and down. The hood has some rot in the tip but overall solid. The grill and bumper is in good shape along with the radiator support and the inner fender wells . The bed is a 8 foot steel with wood slats that have rotten away. Some of the wood slats and sides are still intact to show how it was. The bed steel Frame had been painted and still looks good with very minimal rust. The interior is complete and in good shape for the year besides there is rust along the top of the windshield on the cab. Also rust on the outside which is repairable .The overall condition is a Rusty farm truck but it is very complete and if someone wanted a cool old cheap truck and didn't mind putting some work into it would be a good candidate . When I bought the truck I flush the fuel line and tank put gas in it in a little in the carburetor and it ran good with no smoke. All the gears pulled and all the lights worked. The brakes went to the floor. That was November 2018.The truck has sat in my storage building and have not touched it since. What I was going to do with it was put Duly wheels in the rear and power brakes with new wheel cylinders and shoes tires all around wood in the bed and a little cleanup and floor changes and drive it like that. But I have many projects so I am offering It to finish another I will try to help with transport. At time of buy it now $500 nonrefundable PayPal and can be stored three weeks To schedule pick up.
