1978 GMC 1 Ton Cargo Van - no windows - Project truck

1978 GMC Cargo Van. 350 / 350. power steering. power disc brakes. factory gauges. no A/C. This is my unfinished project. I replaced the bad motor with a 80K mile engine from a '78 Chevy truck. It is correct for California smog. The engine ran good years ago when we started it. I replaced the cam. lifters. timing chain (double roller). oil pump (high volume). water pump. fuel pump and freeze plugs. It was painted the correct Chevy blue with some Dayton paint. I painted the exhaust manifolds with high temp stainless steel paint for exhaust manifolds and such. I have all the Van specific exterior engine parts and pieces; brackets. pulleys. valve covers. etc. I replaced the front & rear seals and the filter & pan gasket on the 350 turbo trans. I repaired the rust on the outside drivers side windshield (I used to do rust repair professionally). I replaced the beat up front doors with newer doors with power windows and door locks. It will need to be wired up to function. I replaced the back doors with doors with no windows. There is a metal partition behind the front seats. so the Van will be real secure. I have a new lock set that goes with the Van. I also have a new windshield seal. The front windshield is cracked. the tires were replaced years ago. they have a lot of tread. but are older tires. The wheels and tires are 16. 5". It also appears the previous owner replaced the radiator. The van is real straight. but has some smaller ares that will need a little hammer and dolly. The roof is going to need to be attended to right away. It has surface rust. That is part of the reason I am selling this. My city sent me a notice and said I cannot work on my Van in my driveway. So. I am selling it. This is a complete Van that will need work to run and drive. A lot of the hard work is done. The Van has a clear title. nbsp; in my name on a non-op. No penalties. I have some items for the Van that does not go with it. but could be purchased separately; Rotating seat bases. tilt column (missing turn signal parts) and some other misc items.
