Car description |
---|
Drivetrain is a GM crate engine block 5.7L 350CID 40 bolt main V8 which was recently rebuilt ( Only 500 miles driven and STILL IN BREAK -IN PERIOD) with a brand new Scat crankshaft (item#9-10442)from Summit Racing and Mild Comp Cams Camshaft (CL12-234-2 212 degree intake / 218 degreeexhaust). Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 600CFM Carb.
The transmission is a 4WD 700R4/4L60. (note: shaft to front axle is not connected therefore truck is currently 2WD.) May be converted to 4WD or you may swap an AWD transfer case off a Typhoon, Bravada or AWD Astro van and make it AWD if you wish.
Rear end is the stock 7.625" 10 bolt 3.42:1 gear rear end.
Cooling is handled by a Typhoon Radiator and BeCool Dual electric fans for S-10 V8s. These are the typical fans used for most V8 swaps. I have the fans wired to an OEM like temperature sensor which turns the fans on at 170F and off at 160F. This truck does not overheat even in bumper to bumper traffic in Miami during the hot summer.
The truck came with AC and it may be reinstated by installing the AC condensor in front of the radiator. This was installed on the truck prior to the engine rebuild but I never put it back on when I rebuilt the truck since I didn't know how much it may affect engine cooling. Many people run this setup with great success, I never tried it but I have the condenser and a/c hoses so you're free to put it back on.
Car has full TYPHOON cladding which is VERY EXPENSIVE, Wheels, and Interior.I have all of the cladding even the ones not shown. Most of them were removed at the time of the engine swap and not replaced. Some will need mounting tabs repaired, but are in good condition for the most part. I will post pictures of all cladding.I have 3 out of the 4 center caps for the wheels.
I also have a spare front bumper which is NOT INCLUDED with the truck but I will offer to whoever buys the truck first before I post it for sale.
All factory gauges work (not typical with most V8 swaps)
Areas for improvement:Truck came with an aftermarket tach which is currently non functional. I'm not sure if it is broken or disconnected. Can be rewired or removed
Wipers don't turn on.
some rust on bottom of doors and corner behind rear tires.
Steering has some play.
Rear seat has a small rip on the upper left corner.
Paint on the hood and parts of the hood is faded and will need to be repainted.
Any questions feel free to message me. BUYER WILL ARRANGE FOR PICKUP AND TRANSPORTATION.
On Nov-15-16 at 20:40:18 PST, seller added the following information:
I uploaded pictures of the body CLADDING. All pieces are there, nothing is missing. see pictures for more details. The cladding is in overall good usable condition as mist imperfections are not visible with them installed. I included closeups of areas which may need some minor repairs and of areas which may already have repairs. I'll try to install as much of these parts as I get can before the listing ends. I'll add pictures as I make progress.
Also I want to note that there is a small oil leak on the remote oil filter adapter (Trans-Dapt) not sure why. It may need a new gasket. This is not big leak, it only leaves a 1"-2" mark when I park it. Other options include: If you're not interested in 4wd you can always put the OEM style adapter back on or install a offset filter adapter that allows you to use a smaller diameter filter while keeping 4WD.
I'm trying to be as transparent and descriptive as possible since most potential buyers are not local.
Again, fell free to ask any questions.
