OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF A TRUE 1960s ICON
Introduced for mid-1964, Fords sporty Mustang created an instant sensation with its winning combination of performance, personal luxury, fresh styling and surprising affordability. The Mustang created its own market segment and continues to rank as the most successful new-car launch in automotive history. Part of the Mustangs appeal, in addition to its trim size and sparkling performance, was its long list of available options and accessories. Updates came quickly with the Mustangs body restyled for 1967, myriad interior improvements and more powertrain choices now available.
This San Jose, California-built 1967 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback is an exceptionally attractive two-owner example that benefits handsomely from the single adult ownership and care it has received since purchase in September 1968. A copy of the Conditional Sales Contract issued by the selling dealer to the second and current owner is included with the car. Restored and finished in factory Code I Lime Gold paint over a brand new black bucket-seat interior with matching carpeting, this excellent 1967 Mustang Fastback is powered by a 200 HP 289 CI V-8 engine with dual exhaust mated to a desirable floor-shifted manual transmission. Just 35,221 miles are indicated at the time of writing.
A recent inspection confirms the Mustangs high quality, including sound floors and undercarriage. The 289 V-8 engine and engine compartment are very well finished, detailed and presented with proper factory finishes and components in place even the California emissions system. Features include power steering, a pushbutton radio, optional 2+2 folding rear seat and handsome three-spoke steering wheel with wood grain rim and central horn button. The trunk compartment is equipped with the full spare assembly, jack and roadside wheel tools. Most recently, proper sorting and detailing has been performed by The Last Detail. Chrome styled steel wheels mounting a set of brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires add the perfect final touch to this highly collectible 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.
