1970 Ford Fairlane 500 *RARE* Runs and Drives Great! NO RESERVE Up for auction here is a rare 1970 Ford Fairlane 500 4-door sedan. This car has an "Inline-6". 250 cubic inch engine. The carburetor. a Carter YF 6xxx-s. nbsp;has been recently rebuilt. I believe it came off of a 300 cubic inch "Inline-6". Due to the size of the air cleaner wingnut. there is a dent in the hood. shown in one of the photos. Also in the engine bay is a new fuel pump. all new fuel lines. and repainted and repaired exhaust manifold. The interior is a mix of old and new. The seats have been recently and professionally recovered. The carpet is also new; door panels are stock. as is the dashboard. The padded part of the dashboard was cracking and has been sealed off to prevent further cracking. The A/C works just takes a bit to get cold (around 20 minutes). heater also works. The car has no functional radio. but has a nonfunctional radio unit installed. The driver's door mirror control works but no longer stays in place (see photo). On the outside the car has a fresh coat of metallic blue paint. There are some deep scratches on the driver’s side rear quarter panel. There are some other minor cosmetic issues involving the paint and trim. Please feel free to ask for details and more pictures. There is no damaging body rust. The car runs and drives great. has new floor pans and the driver’s side quarter panel was patched. The trunk has also been patched and lined and no water gets into it. Buyer is responsible for pickup.
