Car description

Up for auction, 1935 Ford Pheaton.
This is a great little car and an excellent example of a very iconic era of automobiles.
The motor is a good running stock 59AB, transmission is 1939 Ford 3 speed manual. It has excellent driving manners and just sings down the road as you'd expect an old flathead Ford would. There's nothing quite like it.
The brakes have been upgraded to hydraulic. The master cylinder, wheel cylinders and hoses are new. It stops on a dime and in a straight line.
Wheels are steel 16" wearing single bar flipper hub caps and trim rings. Tires are Firestone. This car has a great early look to it.
The paint is older and shows signs of wear here and there. It presents well and is what I would call an excellent driver. Please see the close up photos of some of the wear on the paint, they do a good job of representing what this car is, which is a tidy, but well-enjoyed hot rod that you can be proud to drive and show as it is. The body is solid. The under seat areas have had rust at some point. The front seats area was left as it was, it is not bad with a few small spots. Rear seat area has a patch that was cut and riveted in a long time ago. Both front pillars have a small amount of rust at the very, very bottom of the door jams that is not noticeable unless you're looking for it with the doors open. The body itself has no rust to speak of, or any areas popping under the paint. The doors open and close very nicely. The fit is nice with no rattles or bizarre looking gaps, etc.
The top is in excellent condition and operates as it should.
Interior is nice, but not without it's quirks. There are two slightly different shades of brown going on between the two seats. I don't know why, but it is something that you notice once you "notice" - it doesn't smack you in the face or anything. The dash is in great shape without a ton of extra holes for switches or aftermarket radio. Carpet is in good condition and the floors are solid. There is still room to tinker, as the speedo and gauges (other than amp gauge) are not hooked up. Headlights and tail lights work and are operated off of an aftermarket switch.
The chrome and stainless on the body of this car is all in very, very nice shape. Bumpers, grill, windshield frame and stanchions, etc all are very nice and shine very well. It has an accessory front bumper guard in nice condition as well.
Overall, this is a nice car for someone to drive, have fun with and tinker on as they see fit. I see very few "real world" driver 35/36 Ford Pheatons come available. It seems the majority are either total projects, or $50k + restored type cars. This one is perfect for the guy who just simply wants a nice little car to enjoy. Clear Oregon title in the name of previous owner, signed off and ready to go.
If you are bidding on this car, please be prepared to purchase it and have it shipped! Location is near Portland, Oregon.
