1979 Ford F250 Crew Cab 4x4 manual 351 shortbox with 31,000 original miles. It has been shedded almost all its life. It was bought new by a local fire dept and used as their command vehicle. The box was shedded and a utility box was put on the truck. I bought it in 2014 when they took it out of service and it had 23,000 original miles on it. I put new exhaust on, new tires, bed rail liner, door panels and insulation in the front doors, and seat covers. It has never pulled anything because it has never had a trailer ball installed. I still have the original rims, windshield wipers, and shifter knob. I also have the O and R for the hood. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST-ANYWHERE!
The bad: it does have hail dents in the hood and roof. No cracked paint. It had a whip antennae mounted on cab behind door (see pic) and had hole drilled below windshield for coax (see pic). It could use a new floor liner and mat. The power steering box leaks a little, so it could be rebuilt. The dash had radios and such mounted on it, so there are cutouts and holes. I have a used OEM replacement dash for it and I will include in sale. The dash pad is in like new condition. AM/FM cassette stereo that doesn't work and one center dash speaker.
This is an all original 1979 crew cab with no rust and only 31,000 miles. If you're looking for the daily driver or the show truck project you can't go wrong here. This truck is as rare as a unicorn given its condition and miles. I wanted this truck all my growing up years and now that I have it, I don't have the time or money to use and restore it.
