1925 Ford Model T Fire Truck American LaFrance
Mechanically sound truck
Highly original 93-year-old vehicle in amazing condition

This is a number one crowd pleaser every time. It will always draw abig audience each time it is shown. It's even more fun to drive. I have owned it for several years and it has alwaysbeen dependable. It did run and drive when I bought it. However, before I put iton the road. I had it serviced and told the mechanic to repair, adjust, orreplace whatever it needed. Even though it was in storage for most ofits life, the repairs were not major. The biggest expense was theleaky radiator. Seems like they all do and I wanted it to be troublefree so I had one made for this truck; the cost was $1000.
You can drive it all around town, it does not overheat. All of the maintenance was done by alicensed mechanic, no shade tree here. Any and all receipts that I havego with the truck. This is a mechanically sound truck. Even though thisis a highly original 93-year-old vehicle it is in amazing condition. Allof the sheet metal is original, there is no rust and never has been.
The headlights, horn, and siren work. The dash was missing when I bought it so I had a new one installed. It hastwo keys. Avintage side view mirror was added for your safety. The seatis in excellent condition. It still has the original Ford floor mat. Howcool is that!
If you like to brag you can talk forever about all of these items ofinterest, most of them are original. The photos are all close up. There arethree axes, four water buckets, five assorted fire extinguishers, toolbox, firebell, siren, searchlights, antique license plate, two pairs of firemen'sboots, one fireman's suit, one hat, one extension ladder and a lot more foryou to discover. The original ID tag is still in place. (See photo)
Known History

As far as I know, I am the fourth owner. It has never been titled which wascommon for the day. It will come with a valid bill of sale. It wasoriginally purchased by Nankin Township in 1925, an area just outside ofDetroit. They owned it for 40 years. Before Nankin was a townshipthe area housed a mill built in 1842. It was a favorite place for Henry Fordand his farmer father. Henry purchased the mill in 1918.
The fire truckwas then purchased by a Wayne County judge and kept in storage for 35years. From there it went to a collector who drove it and toyed with ituntil I purchased it.
A rare find, ready for a new owner
This is a sound truck that truly is a safe ever-increasing investment. It is part of Ford's richhistory.
