Car description

1959 FORDFAIRLANE 5002DOOR HARDTOPThis is a very nice 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 2 Door Hardtop in Colonial White and Inca Gold. This is a 63A body style. You seem to see more 2 door Galaxies with the box top than this body style. This car has a 292 V8 that was rebuilt before I bought the car. I have owned and driven this car for 8 yrs. It has a Fordomatic automatic transmission that shifts like it should. I bought this car out of California in 2007. It is a black plate car. The car cranks. runs. and drives great. I put a complete PST front end kit in it and had the front end aligned several years ago. The car was showing 24. 00 miles when I bought it and it now has 31. 30 showing. I do not know the actual miles or how many times the odometer might have turned over. The car was painted before I bought it and the paint is about a 75-80 out of 100. It shines and shows good but is not a perfect show paint. The interior is black and white as in the pictures. The carpet is black and looks good. It has power steering and power brakes (ford swift sure). The interior is nice and the headliner has been replaced in the past. It had new shocks installed at the same time the front end was rebuilt. It has a 3. 00 rear axle and the car cruises good at highway speeds. The power steering pump was replaced with a non original pump at sometime in the past and yes the hydraulic ram for the steering leaks as most do on the early Ford power steering. The car is rust free with solid floor boards. rockers. trunk. etc. the glass is in good shape with a small crack in the passenger door glass. I tried to take a picture but couldn't get it to come out. It is about 1in in length and has been there the whole time I have owned the car. The tires on it have good tread but it really needs nicer tires and wheels to make the car show good. It is a good riding and driving car and has been on many weekend trips without problems. The car is dependable. Do not hesitate to ask any questions. My phone is 706-633-9699 and I will happily answer your questions. This car is for sale elsewhere so I may stop the auction at any time. If you have feedback of 10 or less then call me before you bid or your bid will be canceled. All funds must clear before the car will be released. Check my feedback. I have bought and sold many cars on eBay.
