Car description

This is my GT40 1965 Mark 1 RCR40 which was built by by Race Car Replicas of Clinton Township, Michigan in 2016. It's the only replica GT40 with the coachwork mold taken from an original Ford 'Fab Forty,' and with an aluminum monocoque chassis. Three of these cars were used in the Fast and Furious for action shots and as camera vehicle. My car is painted in Monza Red and is in perfect condition. The car has just under 1000 miles on her. No expenses was spared in building this car, she has the best of everything (see below). The car is titles in South Carolina and can be driven on the road with no issues. Total cost to build this car was close to $150,000. My car has no issues and is ready to drive anywhere. I have taken it to a number of car shows and she is stunning. This is my second build, the first car (which I still have) is a blue and white 427 AC Cobra. Making room in the garage and she needs to go to a good home. If you are interested in her give me a call at 843-714-0323.

A few things to note that make this RCR40 special:

My car has variable electric assisted steering, this is a must have. The steering system assist at low speeds much like a modern car, then at higher speeds it adjust - the feedback is excellent (would never build a car without it). I have also installed a backup camera that works with your smart phone app. This is also a must, these cars were never intended to be on the street, so the rear view mirror and side mirrors are not very good for parking, the back up camera makes this a breeze. I have also installed an A/C system which is mounted under the dash, it works excellent, in addition I have also installed a heat pump so you have both heat and A/C - system works great no issues. With cooling in mind we have installed a temperature controlled engine bay management system. This system will trigger two auxiliary fans mounted in the rear of the engine bay, this system works like exhaust fans and it works very well. Both the engine bay and fire wall have been wrapped in cool wrap as well as all the fuel lines and electrical lines are heat shielded. Lastly all body mounting points have been rubber mounted, as a result this car has no squeaks, rattles - what you would and should expect from a high quality build, the doors fit snug with tight symmetrical gaps, they have a very positive feel when you close the door. This is a very very nice car, well built with the best parts and a special eye for detail. She lives in a climate controlled garage next to its sister (the AC 427) which can be seen in the picture below. If you are in the market for a RCR this is the one you want. After spending 16 months (almost daily) building this car. I can tell you that this is a complicated and time consuming build and would only recommend experienced builders to attempt to do this build. This car is a joy to drive and is always met with a crowd and smiles.
