This Mustang has much of the original appointments such as the AM radio, and while the car is not perfect with dings and dents from age as shown, it is still a local car show winner. It has also had extensive work under the car as shown, including 4 wheel disc brakes, frame connectors, suspension modifications, the monte carlo bar and shock tower reinforcements, relocated emergency brake, brand new NOS Hurst 4 speed shifter and more as you can see in the photos. We also added brand new reproduction styled steel wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The mileage is 81,665 and we believe it to be original.

As mentioned, the does have a number of marks and nicks as shown, and the car either shows the red oxide primer or red paint in a few small spots. We believe the car to be original Raven Black but no guarantees. While the paint is shiny and in good shape, it does have checking and has had touch ups and partial repaints over the years. It also would benefit from some minor cleanup and detailing in the door jambs, as well as in the trunk and hood areas. The good news is there is no or very, very little existing rust to deal with. We noticed the door seals are also in need of eventual replacement and including a new one with adhesive. We are also including high quality seat belts that will need to be installed (brand new, deluxe red) and the spare tire and trunk mat.

The interior is very nice, aside from a small rip in the corner of the drivers seat as shown and it could stand a detailing and thorough cleaning. The headliner is also not perfect. The gauges work intermittently and radio worked until recently. The interior courtesy lights, directionals, glove box, dash lights and all exterior lights and horn work.

The car starts, runs and stops well. We have not checked the front end alignment and the front end looks new or nearly new and it should probably be aligned. We were impressed with how well the engine starts, runs and idles. The engine was sitting for a long time and there is a slight amount of lifter tick at times. We believe this will go away as the car is used but again, no guarantees. The transmission shifts as it should. It has a Detroit Locker 4.11 Posi rear end and these click when going around a corner.

If you are looking for a new car, perfect finish, no squeaks or rattles, or the reliability of a Toyota Camry, this car is not for you. If you like a bit of patina, understand what you are buying and are a Mustang Fastback freak like us, this vehicle deserves a closer look. Make no mistake that these are all projects or a work in progress to some degree and this example is no different. It is a high dollar car that has all the right equipment. We are also including boxes of spare parts, receipts, manuals, etc.

With the discovery of the original Bullitt and the recreations, as well as the Shelby GT350 and GT500 vehicles pulling historic values, this is a great investment. Restore it or preserve the current condition and enjoy it.
