up for auction is a friend of the family's1972 ford LTD with 33,000 originalmiles on it. this car was his fathers favoritecar which has been sitting in a barn for over 20 years since his dad past away. the son.having lost interest in it, he asked me to help him find a new home for his dads favoritecar. so we towed it out for him drained the gas out and put in fresh gas, fuel pump, gas hoses, spark plugs, and a fresh battery and it fired right up. it runs strong at above 1000 rpms but runs choppy at and idle. the more it runs the smoother it gets. plug wires don t look the best. but i ve done my part by helping him getting it going and listing it for him . the LTD runs, drives and stops around the parking lot here at the warehouse where its at now.and is peppy .the 400 engine seems to really have some horse power. my friend tells me that his dad never drove this car in the winter, so the rust on this car is not severe. the quarters and dog legs have some rust and pin holes. the rest of the the out side of the cars has many stone chips from going on vacation up in the hills i m told. the underneath,the floors, trunk and frame are in excellentcondition from being parked on a wooden floor barn most of the cars life. the car does have rust in the door jams, from his dad washing it a lot from what i m told. this 1972 ford LTD is a decent looking survivor, but is not a showroom car. it would someone a decent daily driver or a neat looking old car to crusearound in once in a while in the patina condition its in. or plainly pull the rare to find anymore powerful drive train out for your street rod .everything in the car seems to work good. i ve tried to described this car to the best of my knowledge on the info i ve been given and what i see. look at the pictures, ask questions if needed. there is no reserve on this auction . the car sells to the highest bidder.yes we have clean title to this car.
