Car description

1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe - 2dr Coupe427 Big Block ChevyCRAZY RELIABLE CARThe car just came back from a 500 mile road trip to the Goodguys show in Rhinebeck, NY and a 700 mile round trip to the Syracuse Nationals with no issues at all!
The owner has two other classic cars that he frequently drives alongside this one - all his cars are top notch builds and ready to be enjoyed at a moment's notice.
This 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe has been built over the years into what you see here - a very cool PRO-STREET designed street rod!
The car is all steel and in wonderful shape. It has great paint with good straight reflections down the side and good panel gaps which is VERY hard to do in these bigger sedans.
The car is powered by a reliable 427 Big Block Chevy with a Weiand Tunnel Ram topped with dual Holley carbs. The always classic M/T Valve covers help with the vintage vibe of this awesome engine. The engine is backed by a newly custom built beefed Turbo 350 transmission with HD clutches, TCI 2400 rpm stall converter, and an ATI manual valve body shifted by a Hurst Quarter Stick. It's spinning the driveshaft out to a very strong Ford 9" rear complete with 4:11's - this car will get the ice cream home before it melts!
The car has a full interior and is very comfortable - it's the owner's wife's favorite to ride in!
It has a four link rear suspension with coil-over shocks and front suspension is a transverseleaf spring with dropped axle.
Tires on Weld wheels are Mickey Thompson Sportsman radials rear and Firestone radials front (31x16R-15's out back and 165r15's up front).
This car was built for the street and performs quite well.
The car was professionally built by one of its previous owners as a tribute to Jerry Moreland who raced a 1940 Ford Sedan years back.
At the time, Jerry Moreland's car was the fastest street rod around. The original builder of this car once had a blower on the original engine and had a hood and wheelie bars on the car to complete the look of Moreland's car.
The car has a roll bar and is without a backseat.
