Car description

.
***RESTORED BY OWNER'S GRANDFATHER 1986 - 1996***
.

This is a 1931 Ford Model A Sport Coupe the owner asked me to list. His grandfather restored the car from 1986 to 1996. A few years later he passed away and his grandson, current owner, inherited the car and has owned it for over 12 years. He drove it on runs with the local Model A club but doesn't use it much anymore so he has decided to sell the car. It is Chicle Drab accented with a belt line yellow pin stripe, yellow wheels and wide white wall tires. Fenders and running boards are black. Engine fires right up and runs fine. Car drives well. The generator has been changed to an alternator and the old generator is included in sale. There is an aftermarket water temperature gauge in the interior under the original gauge cluster. The sport coupe has a soft canvas top with glass back window. Top has landau irons on both sides. It has a rumble seat. Car has dual cowl lights, dual exterior mirrors. This is a nice older restoration that is ready for someone to drive and enjoy. Email any question and you may ask for the owner's phone number to set up a time to see the Model A.

Car looks sharp and is in really nice condition.

It has a spare wheel and tire mounted out back.

Sport Coupe has a soft top.

Tires are 4.75/5.00 X19 wide white walls

The Chicle Drab and yellow combination with black fenders and running boards look great together.

VIN plate on firewall matches VIN on title - engine number is unreadable but appears to not be the same as the VIN on the title. I'm guessing the engine was replaced at some time in the car's history.

Car comes with air cleaner, old generator and a book about the Model A. Book says copyright is 1931 - we are not sure it if is original or an older reproduction. Owner has a couple of paint cans that were used to paint the car years ago. We doubt the paint is still good.
