The extensive restoration work was done in 1989-90 and shows well today. This car was obviously been garage-kept and cared for since its previous restoration. Note the sculpted edges of the hood, an early '65 feature. It is a pleasure to drive. It is quiet and as comfortable as a new car. Much of the documentation from the original advertising campaign this car was a apart of in 1996 included, including a VHS cassette tape the car is seen in, and a special letter asking the owner's permission to use it in the promotion. The power-assist white convertible top assembly is in excellent condition. All of the rubber weatherstripping is in good condition. Equipment includes a Rally Pac gauge assembly, center console, and AM radio. Under the hood is the factory-optioned 260 cubic inch 2bbl. V8 engine. Note the correct early power steering pump. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support are solid. This is the correct distributor for an early 260 Ford. This car had extensive metal replacement during the restoration including flooring, frame rails, quarter panels, rocker panels, etc. The receipts detail the work involved. Note the paint cracked along the rocker panel here on the driver's side. The door data plate is intact and legible. This car was ordered in Wimbleton White, built May 22nd, 1964 with a Jacksonville DSO. The drivetrain consists of the 260 2bbl. V8, C4 3-speed automatic, and 3.00 gear rear axle. The interior is red vinyl.
