Car description

1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria 2 door hard top. 272 V-8 with 3 speed automatic. This Victoria has undergone a full frame off restoration with attention to the details of every nut & bolt. The elegant black & white two tone paint job is a prime example of the original car. The luxury styling flows through to the interior, which has been perfectly restored to be exactly what you would expect out of car this classy. The looks are not just skin deep on this beauty. The restoration work extended into the mechanics, rebuilding every old & tired part through out, from front to back. The engine hums along like a song. The Ford-O-Matic shifts right through the gears as it should. Everything mechanical about the car is 100% functional and works the way it was engineered to do. This includes the manual steering, the manual 4 wheel drum brakes, the emergency brake, all the lights, switches and even the vacuum wipers. All of the dash board components, instruments, gauges, etc... have been restored and function with exception to the clock. Everything on the car was restored back to stock with the exception of a 12 volt system upgrade, radial tires and a hint of customization on the spare tire cover & the Smithy's glass packs. ( it's not loud at all, just a nice rumble ) I've sold allot of old cars on eBay & have a perfect rating because I always give a completely honest description on my cars. This is the part where I usually point out all of the flaws on the car, but honestly, with the exception of some very minor imperfections just from being driven on the road, I can't find any flaws to tell you about. It's sat on my show room floor for 2 weeks and there's an oil spot the size of a dime and that's it. It probably leaked more when it was new. The car really is impeccable. Anyone can nit-pick a 62 year old car and you may just find something I've over looked, but I guarantee you, that if you do, it's going to be an extremely minor detail and you'll just be drawing at straws trying to convince yourself that you don't need it. I strongly encourage any buyer to first come see the car before you bid. If you can not, please use a third party inspector. Your bid is your word, not to be renegotiated later, so please make sure this is what you want. As for transportation. The buyer must arrange for shipping, but I will assist by meeting your transport company here to load it up. I will text pictures to you when it is loaded and on the way. I also get the trucks plates & DOT #'s for your security. If you want to fly in and drive home, I can pick you up at Norfolk International Airport, which is about a 2 hour drive from my dealership. I would encourage you to enjoy your stay at the Outer Banks while you're here. The car is road worthy and reliable enough to drive anywhere, but it wasn't really designed for our 70mph interstates, so I'd recommend sticking to the back roads & scenic routes. Payment : I'm firm on this part because it's just the way I do business. The winning bidder must pay a 500 dollar non-refundable deposit via pay-pal to secure the deal. You have 24 hours to send your deposit. I will not hold the car for you until you send the deposit, after which, I will hold the car for you for 10 business days while we finalize the transaction. The balance due can be paid in several ways. 1. Wire Transfer 2. Certified Cashiers Check 3. Loan Check from J.J. Best or Woodside Credit. 4 and of course the one I like most CASH. Important disclaimer !!! The car does not leave my possession until the funds have cleared. Cashiers checks can take a while & that's why I like wire transfers, but either way, until the bank will give me a stack of cash, the car stays put. Important disclaimer # 2 ... I'm a licensed car dealer, which means we have a bunch of paperwork to do aside from the title. If you're coming here to get the car than no problem. If you're buying the car site unseen, then I will need to e-mail you a form, which you have to get signed & notarized and snail mail back to me, after I receive it then I can process all of your title & other paperwork and send it along with the car or mail it certified if you wish. I'm an easy going guy and know from experience these deals can sometimes take a while, so I'm not a stickler on my time frames mentioned above, so long as we have clear lines of communication. Good Luck & Call me if you have any further questions... 252-619-8067 This sweet ride is brought to you by.... Dixie Trading Company, NC,dlr#75857 6592 Caratoke Hwy, Grandy NC 27939
