This 1970 Mustang is basically a new car. Reading through the following description, you will have a very good idea what kind of restoration this Mach 1 has been through. If you are looking for a brand new, no, better then new, then this 70 Mach 1 is it. Drives and handles great with superior performance. A real head turner, that would perform very well at any car show.

Matching numbers, H Code, 750 miles since restoration, I am the third owner, and have owned the Mustang for thirty six years.

Sale includes restoration photos, restoration receipts, appraisal for $69,960.

This Mach 1 Came With These Factory Options --- Air Conditioner – Blow Horn – Tilt Steering Column – Power Steering - Rear Window Louvers – Rear Spoiler

Rotisserie Restoration –-Over 1200 hours, restored to factory specifications, exceeding the factory built car. Every single part, nut and bolt was restored or replaced. If any parts could not be cleaned or detailed to better than factory appearance, then, NOS parts were used.

This Restoration was much more labor intensive than other levels of restoration because the level of finish work that had to be done on each and every piece of the car.

Objective –-Rebuild this car from the ground up to original or better appearance, with mild modifications that would not offend Mustang purists, and perform as strong as it looks. Creating a car that is essentially new, not only in appearance but mechanical as well .

Exterior –-Disassembly of the entire car. Complete stripping & cleaning via beading blasting of tub and body parts. Entire car was epoxy primed inside and out. The undercarriage and Interior was coated with a 2 stage SKS / DP90 process for texture, sound proofing and finish. The outstanding paint job was the result of the body being completely block sanded, then epoxy primed, block sanded again, then base coat / clear coat, then factory 'D' yellow. Attaching hardware was replaced with new parts from AMK products. – Original rear window louvers and rear spoiler, cleaned and detailed to better then factory.

Under the hood –- Professionally Built Original 351 engine was rebuilt with roller cam and rockers, heads were port and flowed, larger valves were Installed (1 94 intake - l .60 exhaust), Aluminum Intake –-4 barrel Holley 780 carburetor –-Cobra Paxton Supercharger, all of which produces an estimated whopping 450 HP.

Note: This new Cobra Paxton Supercharger, specifically set for the 351 Windsor. This was a dealer option for the 1970 Mach 1.

Also Of Note: Original air conditioning unit was moved to the passenger side to accommodate the Cobra Paxton Supercharger, resulting in a final fit that looks as if it were factory installed.

Exhaust –-Ceramic coated headers, ceramic coated 2 1/4'' Boss 302 duel exhaust system, and a ceramic coated Dr. Gass synchronizing crossovers.

Automatic Transmission, Rear End, Wheels –-Completely rebuilt FMX transmission and 2100 stall converter with all new stainless steel lines, 8.8 inch Ford differential housing, encasing 3.60/1 traction-loc gears –-A set of 8" x 15" Magnum 500 wheels with New 245/60 BFG Tires

Steering –-Close ratio 16:1 Boss-302 steering box , mounted to a new suspension system.

Suspension –-Consists of a new suspension. - KYB shocks, 620 lb rate front coils, 1 1/8" front sway bar, 3/4" rear sway bar, leaf springs. - Front A-arms have been lowered 1'' as was done on the early Shelbys.

Braking –-All new front disc brakes, and new rear brakes, all with new stainless steel brake lines

Interior --All new deluxe trim and equipment and new black Mach 1 knitted high back bucket seats, new door panels,. new headliner. - Rare stock three spoke rim-blow steering wheel is mounted on a rare tilt away steering column. - Steering wheel, instrument panel, shifter console plate, and AM radio are all original to the car. - The stock looking clock has been retro fitted with a quartz movement. Insulation was installed under all new carpeting as well as the firewall and trunk

Powder Coating –-Rear differential housing, drive shaft, rear leaf springs, front coil springs, front & rear sway bars, A-arms, tie rod ends, drag links, spindles, engine braces & cross members, Cobra aluminum oversized oil pan, hinges & latches, pulleys and brackets, fan, battery tray, rear brake drums, front brake dust shield, as well as other miscellaneous parts and attaching hardware.

Drives excellently, handles very nice, steering is very positive and responsive, The ride and comfort level is very good
