Car description

Up for auction here is a super nice 1970 Torino, Code car with it's original 4 speed and 3.00 posi 9 inch rear. It is in very nice overall condition that anyone looking to get into muscle cars would be proud of. It was purchased by me at the Dallas Mecum auction 2 weeks ago and wife said "SELL IT!" Guess I should have asked first. It appears to have the original interior which is in excellent condition with no tears, tc. Even the console rear lights work. I have purchased a Clock block off plate to insert where a prior owner had installed a couple of toggle switches and lights that I have no idea what they are for. I also picked up a pair of grill support brackets as I noticed that there were none. This car runs and drives excellent. Was originally a 351-C, lose ratio 4 speed, haker car but someone installed a 429 SCJ according to the Mecum auction sticker shown in the picture. I have not been able to verify the D0VE block number (headers in the way and no lift to see stamping) but the heads are C8VE-E heads which put them as early 429 heads and it has solid lifters. Power steering and brakes work excellent. Car tracks and stops straight as an arrow. All signals work and this car just cruises at 160 degrees and 60 psi even after I drove it home 30 miles from the auction. Car has what appears to be mostly original paint that is very slick for its' age and looks great in the Black Jade/Dark Ivy Green metallic. Has factory rear louvers and shaker. Doors, ood and trunk all line up fantastic and open and close great. Windows roll up and down with no effort at all. There is absolutely not one iota of rust on this car and all panels appear origianl. All stainless trim is in great shape, umpers are in great shape with minor blemishes and glass is clear.Someone in the past stuck a dual oil filter set up on it under the hood that needs to be removed in my opinion and besides freshening up the engine paint and lines, his car can be taken to any local show and do quite well in my opinion - it's that nice. Besides the air cleaner snorkel and a new rubber shaker seal, hat is all that I can see that this car needs in the engine bay. Trunk mat appears original and spare and jack are SUPER clean. Has 4 new 15" Magnum 500's and BFG tires. This car is for sale locally and seller has the right to end this auction early at any time. Mileage shown is not verified as actual mileage and car is not being sold as such.
