Award Winning 1958 Edsel Ranger
You are viewing an extremely rare 1958 Edsel Ranger 2 door hardtop in original beautiful condition. 69000 original miles.Have an amazing amount of documentation (last pic). Same caring owner since 1972, always maintained and garaged. 361 E400 engine rebuilt, Super rareTeletouchtransmission rebuilt, Rust free body repainted in its original color scheme (see data plate). Its hard to describe how nice this car is. Windows are clear and roll up and down smoothly, New WWW Radial tires, Teletouch shifter works flawlessly, but for piece of mind there is an additional rebuilt Teletouch in the trunk, as well as extra rare parts. Everything works (Radio is a little sticky)Photo documentation of everything. The paint was done in 1980 and still looks great! No rust bubbles, no dents, no scratches etc.. Chrome trim in excellent shape (door handles show some pitting but there are new ones in the trunk). Carpet in trunk is glued but I raised a portion to reveal a rust free trunk floor. Undercarriage is very clean, all serviceable parts replaced as needed. The Interior was also redone as original in the 80's, no rips, tears, stains, or foul odors. The car starts with a touch of the key and settles into a smooth idle, runs, drives, stops just as it should. I would feel safe driving this car across country. The model car on the rear shelf was given to the original owner when he test drove the car at the Edsel dealer in 1958!The pictures below tell the story of this rare car. You would be hard pressed to find another 1958 Edsel Ranger 2 door hardtop in such great condition. There were only 6000 made, how many could be left? Values are rising. Automotive history! This car has won many awards including Best in Show at an AACA event. Always a southern car.I welcome your inspections prior to auctions end (not after), and can store inside for up to 30 days free to give plenty of time to make shipping arrangements. Car is sold with Bill of Sale and registrationas Georgia does not title cars of this vintage. Please ask all questions prior to auctions end and I will give you a quick and honest response. There is a very fair low reserve. Thanks for looking! Listing and template services provided by inkFrog
