I purchased this car from the original owner just a few short months ago. The car was purchased new in 77 and only driven 19,789 miles before it was parked in his garage. The car sat in the garage until I purchased it this year. The inspection sticker is still in the window from 1983.
Everything in the interiors works, locks, windows, seats, radio, 8 track! as it should.
I had the car towed to my house as it was not ready to be driven after sitting so long. Thus far I have only changed the oil and replaced the battery.
I intended on going through the brakes and fuel system this winter and have the car ready to drive next summer as a "conversation starter" When I first saw this car I absolutely fell in love with it. However..... in addition to this wagon I purchased 3 other vehicles and a motorcycle from the same collection and it has made clear I cant keep them all.
The good!
The paint and chrome is in great condition.
The engine starts and runs revs and idles as it should with no unwanted noise. 80lbs of oil pressure according to guage.
The interior is in great shape.
The bad.
It has a full tank of 35 year old gas.
The brakes will need to be gone through.
When I started the car I removed the fuel line to avoid pumping old gas into carborator and used a small fuel tank.
I have not attempted to drive the vehicle. (At all)
This car will need to be transported please do not expect to drive it away.
The car is being sold where is, as is.
The car is also for sale locally.
I am not a dealer and do not sell cars on eBay typically. I'm sure I'm forgetting something so please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. More photos are available upon request and I would be happy to take any and all photos you request.
