Car description

A numbers-matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS. We know that first sentence has already sold you on this convertible but just in case we'll go over all the details of this classic that has all the right custom touches. If it's attention you crave this car delivers in spades. The new Grotto Blue paint looks fantastic on the early F-body curves. In fact the color was so good that the custom racing wheels were painted to match. The Ivory Sport Stripe is always a welcomed addition to any Camaro but it looks particularly cool on this one because it matches the recently restored folding vinyl roof and boy do they pop! So while this is a car for top-down fun it's one that has a more impressive appearance with the roof up. Of course what really makes this a desirable Chevy is the Rally Sport package with the headlights that are hidden behind the mean-looking blacked front out panel. The deluxe houndstooth interior is beautifully finished and shows off this particular Camaro's luxury/performance mission. The buckets are freshly upholstered and they look perfect with the pristine black carpets door panels center console. Beautiful wood grained appliques on the center console match the three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel. But these kinds of details are often missed because everyone's attention usually gravitates to the original horseshoe shifter. For the driver this is a cool piece to hold even if you're not trying to bang your own way through the upgraded four-speed automatic. This is the kind of Camaro that came loaded from the factory and you can tell by the original AM/FM radio center stack clock and air conditioning. Yes you can cruise hot summer days with the top down and still feel the cool breeze thanks to an original A/C unit that's had the expensive switchover to R134a refrigerant. While this is a number-matching 327 cubic-inch small block V8 you can take one look at it and know something more sinister is going on under the hood. The motor has been completely rebuilt with performance in mind including a new Edelbrock carburetor and intake package. Just so everyone can hear the difference in your small block there is a new performance dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The power is put to the road via a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission that hooks to a stout 10-bolt rear end. All this does a good job of staying planted to the pavement thanks to a new Hotchkis racing suspension package and sticky Kumho 20-inch tires in the rear. But there's more to this cool Camaro than just being an intimidator between the stoplights. The automatic transmission has overdrive for better highway cruising. Plus this is a power steering car with power brakes (discs up front). All of this means you can enjoy the ride no matter if it's a Saturday night burger run or an out of town car show.Beautifully finished this is an unusual fast fun Camaro that will get all the numbers guys excited. If you just like the look of the car we'll even give you the original wheels intake etc to turn this one back into a bone-stock beauty. Call now!!
