Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS The 1969 Camaro was recently named the most significant Chevrolet of the past 100 years. and when you look at this gorgeous gunmetal gray Z/28 tribute. it's pretty easy to figure out why. With a 350 under the hood. timeless good looks. and the most stylish interior to come out of GM's design studios that decade. this Camaro tells you all you need to know about the democratic process. No other car wears racing stripes as well as a Camaro; they practically define the brand. Originally Frost Green. the gunmetal gray paint is an outstanding choice for your wolf in sheep's clothing. Projecting an image of upscale sophistication. the paint looks particular impressive on the aggressive-looking Z/28. especially with the usual Z/28 styling upgrades. This car was repainted several years ago and still looks fantastic. with good panel fit and super-straight sheetmetal throughout. Black SS stripes are almost mandatory. just like the cowl-induction hood. chin spoiler. and ducktail spoiler out back. all of which give this Camaro traditional good looks that never go out of style. The two-stage urethane paint is deep and glossy and someone spent a lot of time exorcising the ripples from the sheetmetal. because it's wonderfully wave-free. Details like the blacked-out grille and polished stainless wheel moldings elevate this Camaro above some of its stripped-down brothers. creating a wonderful contrast between the race-ready Z/28 gear and the more elegant color selection. Simple black vinyl upholstery is a great choice for a no-nonsense car like this. and the look is purely stock. Like the dark gray paint. the upholstery gives the modest Camaro a style that belies its price and reminds you why the '69 Camaro is an icon. The carpets are so nice that they're surely replacements. but things like the rear seat and gauges also appear to be original. The Rally Sport gauges are all functional. including the factory tach and there's a quartet of of auxiliary instruments mounted on the center console in their own custom pod. And while it's kind of incongruous to have an automatic shifter in a Z/28 tribute. the quick-witted transmission underneath is hardly a handicap. making this car a ball to drive. A modern digital AM/FM stereo system fits into the original radio's slot and the A/C system has been upgraded with all-new components underneath. In back. the trunk is fitted with a replacement mat. correct spatter paint. and a full-sized spare tire assembly. Few powertrain combinations are more reliable and time-tested than the 350 cubic inch V8 backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Many enthusiasts prefer the small block cars for their superior handling and generally more nimble demeanor. and this Camaro is no exception. It's nicely finished with some chrome dress-up and Chevy Orange paint on the block. but not a lot of deviation from the stock specs. Long tube headers dump into a cool-sounding dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. and the transmission's quick reflexes practically define the term "stomp and steer. making this an awesome car for slicing through traffic. Rounding out this car's list of noteworthy attributes are power disc brakes. power steering. and factory Rally wheels wearing 225/60/15 front and 235/70/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. If you haven't experienced the greatest Chevy of all time. this is an ideal opportunity to do so. and if your goal is fun instead of investing. then few cars will deliver better than this 1969 Z/28 tribute.
