Car description |
---|
This is an amazing specimen of the classic 1959 Chevy Impala “Bubble top†two-door hardtop coupe. Absolutely rust-free California since new original California black plate car. Excellent PPG base coat/clear coat paint and new custom interior upholstery to the factory stock 1959 Chevy seat frames. Brand new carpeting complimented by the custom carpeted Impala logo and racing flag floor mats complete the interior space. Completely detailed trunk area including the proper trunk cardboard and mat. New door and trunk weatherstripping complete the picture. This is what a nice restomod is all about.
Until this last year, this two-door coupe has been garaged since day one in Santa Clara, California where the weather conditions are ideal to escape any and all damage to it’s classic bodywork, frame and chassis, chrome and trim. Quite frankly, these cars are the only ones that warrant the investment. Chrome, stainless and the anodized brightwork is all original and in superior condition. The vintage customization of the front trim area including the polished tubular front grille is just enough to set it apart from an everyday early coupe. The Impala rides upon a brand new set of blackwall BF Goodrich TA radials mounted on a set of early aluminum wheels just mounted and balanced.
The drivetrain runs smoothly and has been upgraded to include a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V-8 along with a GM three speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment has been completely detailed including a new four barrel carburetor, fuel lines, gas tank and sending unit. Brand new front to back dual exhaust. The engine is finished off with a very special set of cast aluminum Chevrolet valve covers and an early black louvered air cleaner.
***As a great benefit to some future restoration, also included in the sale will be the numbers matching engine and powerglide transmission in need of reconditioning that the car came with from the factory.
I have personally owned several 1955 through 1962 Chevrolet’s. The 1959 Impala Bubble top two-door hardtop is by far my favorite.
While this is a wonderful American classic automobile, it is nevertheless a sixty-two year old vehicle and as such is being sold as-is with a clean and clear California title along with its original plates all free and clear of any and all liens and or encumbrances whatsoever.
Thanks for your interest.
