Are you looking for a cool, dependable cruiser that won't look like every other car at the event? How about a 1969 Chevelle wagon? She was purchased new October 28, 1968 in Nashville Tennessee, and the original owner kept her well into the 2000s!
• We have the original window sticker and the canceled check from October 28, 1968 where the gentleman purchased the car new!
• We have the original protect-o plate and booklet as well as the original owners manual.
• There are repair receipts and other documentation going back to the 1970s
This is a very original car. The interior is excellent. The body is straight and solid. She runs and drives out very well, and she even has cold AC!
If you are like us you appreciate a good honest car. There's no pretense or hidden problems. This wagon is more like your wife than a glamorous girlfriend. She's good-looking, dependable and and the more you get to know her the better you like her. When you go out with her you know she's going to bring you back home.
The interior is extremely nice. There are no rips, tears or cracks. The door panels are all nice, tight and fit well. The dash pad is still soft. There are no cracks in the steering wheel. The upholstery is all soft and tight. The headliner is correct and looks new.
Under the hood is the 307 V8 upgraded with an aluminum intake and 4-barrel carb. She also wears a set of ceramic coated headers and has a modern compact A/C compressor. The original 2-speed automatic has been replaced with a GM 350 automatic. It has a fairly new exhaust system which sounds fantastic.
She drives out very nicely to. The steering is tight and smooth and she rides on a fresh set of radial tires. She has made numerous round trips from Tennessee to the gulf coast.
The paint is presentable for a driver. Probably had only had one repaint since new. The paint is shiny, but a nice wet sand and buff would take it to the next level. Remember we are talking about a comfortable cruiser and not a show car. The trim is all in good shape and the chrome shows very well for its age. There are no significant dings, pitting or rust on the chrome. The grill is excellent.
This truly is a fly in and drive it home car.
