Car description

Here's a fine specimen of its heralded muscle car model in its sleek second-generation form. This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has been revitalized while retaining an almost entirely original look both inside and out and now harbors an enhanced engine beneath its hood for plenty of smile-inducing power. It's a very appealing, sharp looking cruiser in its present state, and just a little bit of effort will elevate it even further. With its exterior decked out... in factory correct deep metallic blue paint that's ornamented with contrasting gray stripes, this Z/28 really does a great job of recreating the styling sensibilities of its era. Save for the aftermarket wheels it now wears, it remains as stock as can be - Z/28s were already a top tier version of the model and received plenty of aesthetic attention from Chevy when they rolled out to the public. The paint still presents really well - it's a great color combo to begin with - and if you take a lap around the car, you won't find any serious flaws and will likely be impressed with the smooth texture. Judging from their super-sharp edges and consistent pigmentation, those gray accents were likely added only recently and there's clear glass surrounding the cabin that adds to this Chevy's vibrant, road ready appearance. The tight, even gaps surrounding the doors, hood and deck lid suggest that the exterior alignment on this latter-day muscle car is also on point. The black vinyl interior makes for a nice, authentic looking driving environment. It's plenty ready for action in its present state, with seating in both front and back and door panels whose near-showroom condition suggests that they've been recently reupholstered. A sharp factory center console sits between the buckets and the headliner above is well-fitted and in good shape. Farther forward, the dash area features an instrument panel with clear, functional gauges and a supple-looking dash pad over the top. Some well-focused attention - none of it involving anything major - will make these surroundings even more appealing. This '80 first rolled off the assembly line during an era not particularly known for its potent engines -the country had only recently emerged from the second in a series of fuel crises and the automotive industry moved fuel economy to the front burner. There'll be no worries about lackluster performance in this classic Chevy, however. It carries plenty of power in the form of the strong running 350 cubic inch LT1 engine beneath its hood, which is armed with a pair of aluminum Vortec heads at its sides and a high-rise aluminum intake manifold on top. The engine exhales into a pair of aftermarket headers to reduce back-pressure as it pairs with a 3-speed automatic TH350 that's shifting with slip-free precision. Farther forward, a pair of electric fans team with a sizable radiator to keep operating temperatures under control and the added electronic ignition makes for improved all-weather starting and improved dependability. Power steering makes for low effort maneuverability, while power brakes that position discs up front bring this Camaro's set of 15" 5-spoke aftermarket wheels wrapped with Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires to prompt, fade-resistant stops. The solid undercarriage is well-positioned for plenty more miles of driving enjoyment. This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a sharp, authentic looking representative of its era, and the enhanced power it carries beneath its hood makes it a lot of fun to drive. Call today!
