I have worked hard to keep this truck as original as possible. It has an original 235 straight 6 engine. Is it THEoriginalengine? I do NOT know. It has asingle barrel carburetor (same type as OEM), and runs GREAT and drives like the truck did 62 years ago. It has a great sound with the dual exhaustand glass-pack mufflers!

If you are after an original1957 Chevy 3100 step-side pickup truck, then THIS IS the truck for you.

If you are looking for a frame-off restoration, THIS ISNOT the truck for you, good luck and keep looking.

The truck came as you see it mostly. The rims that you see came with the truck. It has a4 speedmanualshift on the floor, with a LOW Granny Gear. It does NOT have positraction, but we live at 2,600 feel up on a mountain with over 2 miles of gravel switch-back roads and I have never has a problem driving up to the house.

The Truck still has the floor pedal for the engine start, kinda cool - most people will not even know what this is.

The following is roughly whatmechanicalwork or replacements parts I paid for or haddone to the truck.

~ 3 years ago (my nephew did the work - so not I do NOT have a receipt);

- Top end was rebuilt - this included magnaflux inspection, valve job, & new push rods & lifters installed at the time.

- New chrome rocker-arm and side case covers.

- New thermostat, all new hoses and belts.

- New large aluminum radiator w/ aluminum overflow tank.

- New Headlights

- 2 New Wing windows and driver and passenger windows have been purchased with all new door gaskets, seals, and handles.

- Driver Side door has been restored; New door hinges and receivers have beeninstalled alone with a new windowelevatorand wing window - less installing new side window already purchased (old window has a crack across it, so I bought two new replacements from LMC Trucks). Side panel repainted and new SS screws purchased and installed. New inside door handles and window cranks, installed.

- Passenger side door;elevator functions fine, side window &wing windowpurchased butNOT installed yet.Side panel repainted and new SS screws purchased and installed.New inside door handles and window cranks, installed. Passenger side door has some rust that will need to be repaired (recommended anyway) before installing door gaskets and rubber. The truck has some rust in most of the usual expected places, nothing I consider remotely excessive. I drive the truck almost every weekend, running errands, driving to Lowes and hauling material', etc.

Please note, I did knock a hole in the from fender next to the headlightbezel(picture included), it did NOT damage the bezel nor the headlight.

Replaced within the last year;

- New Fenton Duel Headers with true duel exhaust installed with exhaust pipe cross over, with glass packs with chrome tips.

- All new break drums and shoes along with new lug studs and nuts.

- All new wheel bearings on each corner.

- New stock shocks.

No work done to the bed of the truck, it is as I purchased it. Main feature is it already has the SS, strips and bolts installed, only needs replacement wood or refinish as you deem fit. I have a replacement glove box, and I am sure other smaller purchased items that I cannot recall at the time of this posting - but will of course will go with the truck.

I just cannot physically or financiallytake this tuck to the next level.
