This 1991 B4C Police Camaro is THE GRANDDADDY of all the Camaro Special Service Police cars that were first produced by GM beginning in 1991. This car was ordered the same day in 1990 that GM announced that they were producing a Special Police B4C RS pursuit package, to be sold only to police departments. As chief of police of my small town police department in 1991, this car was then equipped with blue lights, siren, police radios, and the blue stripe down the sides. It was used to patrol, radar enforcement, accident investigation. At the request of GM, this vehicle participated in the new dealer vehicle introduction show held in Richmond, Va. in the spring of 1991. Equipped with the L98 Corvette tuned port V8 engine, 4 speed automatic, 16" aluminum wheels, Z28 suspension, oil cooler, 145 MPH speedometer, 4 wheel disc brakes, limited slip 3:23 differential, and dealer installed 5" spot light. The rear spoiler, striping, and emergency equipment installed by town personnel. Though designated an RS, it was essentially a Z28. This car was in service for over 6 years, then sold. Actual mileage is 73,665 miles, runs great, and has never been in an accident. Over the years, it was never beat, though several Mustangs tried. Vehicle has been garage kept since it retired from police service in 1997, time for a new owner. Original Virginia title. Owners manuals, copies of newspaper articles included. A permission letter from the town government to display this vehicle at car shows and car collections, is included. Truly a rare collectors vehicle.
