Car description |
---|
1959 Chevrolet Nomad Station Wagon, stored for 47 yrs in California, 100% original, 283 with powerglide trans and power steer. Does not run or drive, engine will need to be rebuilt. Has original period luggage rack and rear power window, all lights and electrical system work when battery is installed. Car does have some rust spots, rockers and floors are solid, no patches or metal replacement in these areas but one floorpan has a few pinholes and both rear lower quarters have rot on the fender lips - I have replacement sheet metal for this which is included. Tailgate does not open due to not having keys but I have an original replacement lock with power actuator included. All windows roll up and down as they should but will need a new windscreen. Interior is toast and will need replacing but Ciadella Interiors can supply everything you?ll need for around $2.5k USD.
I had plans to do an LS swap and upgrade brakes and suspension but have too many projects and not enough time or space to do it justice so would prefer to see it go to a good home.
It is currently crammed into my lockup so hard to photograph. The first lot are actually from the ad that I bought the car off originally and it?s basically the same except for the dent in the passenger front door (thank you shippers) and the wheels (see later pic).
If you understand what this car represents you will see the potential and love it. They do not come up for sale very often and very rarely in original, unmolested condition. The car still retains its original paint with a beautiful patina, will make a nice patina rat rod or bagged cruiser (see last pic) or fully restore if you prefer.
IMPORTANT!! CAR IS LOCATED IN AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALANDAsking price includes shipping to CA 90620 United States, shipping can be elsewhere by arrangement
