Up for auction is this 79 K5 Blazer. Newly rebuilt 400 engine with Holly EFI system. Less than 800 miles on the engine. It can be driven and does so very well with the new engine. Built for daily driving and some towing

Bought it as a daily driver and project vehicle. Lost garage space and time and at a point of no return once I get started. Impossible to do just doing one project without having bunch more to do it all correct and just don't have the space /time I hoped to have. Did start to do the dash area which why it is all apart. Have a new dash pad and all the parts just waiting to be finished.

Arizona vehicle its whole life. Originally bought from Bobby Unser Chevrolet in Avondale AZ on 9/18/1978. Have originally agreement and owner's manual. Have numerous receipts from about 80s to about 2013.

99% rust free. Only rust I found was surface rust on passenger side floor from a leaking heater core. Sanded/brushed and rust inhibitor applied. Left uncovered for 6 month and no sign of rust. The passenger wheel well did have acid eat thru the front portion (previous owner), (it was a 2 battery set up). Only have 1 battery set up and it is on the driver's side.

What's been done:

**new 400 engine rebuild (see spec sheet), (no longer matching numbers as block had to be replaced) with Holly Sniper EFI system installed with complete exhaust system (headers).

** Beilstein Shocks installed

** Rancho steering shock installed

*front seats have been redone by previous owner

** The front doors window channel has been replaced

I have all the receipts of items I have bought either in paper or digital

What needs to be done:

EVERYTHING else! It will need to be gone thru and updated and or replaced. It can be driven just need to go thru and check everything. Body is in very good condition for the year. Only issues is the small dent on passenger side back and the old cb antenna hole by the spare tie rack. Tailgate does have 2 "cuts" on both sides, maybe from spare tire vibration but unsure. The removable fiberglass back does need to be refinished.

It can be and has been driven since new engine was installed. You can drive it home if you wish. Speedometer/odometer does not work and probably hasn't for some time. But only bout 800 miles on the engine.

Will work with you on picking up the blazer. Can be driven home if desired and I'll pick you up at the airport.
