Car description

1953 Chevrolet Corvette Reproduction Model XC-53

Take a look at this stunning 1953 Corvette Convertible Reproduction brought to you by Caruso Classic Cars!
If you're one of the lucky few who own a real 1953 Chevrolet Corvette, congratulations. But for the rest of us who would love the iconic classic, but don't have a few hundred thousand dollars lying around or are just nervous about driving a car that's worth so much, this beautiful V8 replica is the absolute right way to go.
This car is a tribute to the genesis of an American legend built by Classic Sports Cars of Holly Hill, Florida. It is an instantly recognizable shape to Corvette lovers that looks great going 70 MPH on the highway or even just standing still. That's because this car has all the details that 53 Corvette lover loves like the mesh headlight covers, the toothy grille with a mirror-like shine, the rear panel dual exhaust tips, and the wraparound trim that makes a precision-straight line around the whole car. In a little twist of irony, the 53 Corvettes are not known for the best fiberglass quality as GM was still understanding how to really get this material into mass production back in the day. . But this much later tribute, built in 1989, benefits from the decades of understanding about how to lay it down thick and evenly for a quality application that looks absolutely fabulous in bright red!
Inside, the excellent condition of the white leather seats with Corvette logos which were upgraded by the owner from the stock tan color are really striking! But what you really love about these low-back buckets is how they have the iconic appearance that is unmistakably C1 Corvette. And the body-colored waterfall in-between that gives it a seamless interior/exterior appearance that is pure American style. You can tell that the car has been cared for meticulously as it looks like new. The whole package really comes together with the door panels and dash pad that match the seating. This reproduction beauty was meant to be enjoyed on the road. That's why you have nice updated features like a smaller diameter steering wheel and a gearshift that's comfortable to rest your hand. But from the moment you look at the full gauge package that's correctly presented in the dual cowl dash, you get a swell of pride that comes from driving a silhouette of American history.
When you open the hood, you're greeted to something the '53 Corvette never had - V8 power! The small block motor would help fulfill the Corvette legend later in life, and so it's nice to have it under the hood of this 53 tribute. It presents well with the bright air cleaner and valve covers. Plus, these 350 cubic-inch V8s are some of the best for affordable and reliable upgrades, and this one already has a nice 750 Holley four-barrel carburetor coupled with a 350 turbo automatic transmission. 12 Volt electrical system, power drum brakes and power steering. Underneath you'll find an ultra clean undercarriage with custom boxed frame and modern day suspension and stainless steel dual exhaust. All the chrome is in excellent condition including the engine dress-up kit, bumpers and all trim. VDO Gauges and dash kit to replicate the original 53. This beauty rides on 4 new American Racing Mag wheels mounted on new radial tires. In dash AM/FM Cassette player with power antenna. New convertible top with snap-in side curtains. Over $53K in parts receipts and documentation (not including labor!).
So you're looking at an accurate 53 tribute with all the right upgrades that is a wonderful driver. Complete with owner's manual this first-year Corvette fantasy is now much closer to a reality. But you're not the only one with this dream, so hurry up and call Jeff today for more info!! This car turns heads, is a thrill to drive and you'll be very proud to show! Car is properly titled and registered in MA where strict regulations require that the car be issued a verifiable MA VIN#. Clear Title in hand. Thanks for looking!
