Car description

1950 GMC 3100 Advance Design Half Ton Short Bed Pickup Truck. Beautifully restored one family owned truck. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.
This truck was sold new in the town of Golden, British Columbia, Canada and has spent its whole life with the same family. It has a believed genuine 49,000 miles on it. It was fully restored in 2003 and driven for one year by the elderly owner and then he sadly passed away. It was then kept in the garage and not used by his wife, so just sat there up until she passed away this year. We purchased it from the Estate Sale and recommissioned it. It is now ready to be driven, taken to shows and enjoyed by its new owner.
This GMC is in excellent mechanical condition. Being a Canadian specification GMC it has the 216 cubic inch Chevrolet Stovebolt 6 cylinder motor. The motor has covered very few miles since it was rebuilt. It starts and runs as well as when it was new. We have rebuilt the carburetor, installed a new fuel pump, new ignition components, new starter motor, new battery, new brake hoses, new wheel cylinders and all fresh fluids. All four tires are new. The clutch is light and smooth to operate. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts flawlessly. The brakes are strong and stop the truck nice and straight. The parking brake works very well. The vacuum wipers function correctly. Everything works as it should on this truck and it can be confidently driven down the road at 50 mph.
The body shows to have not had any rust repairs. It was obviously repainted in its original colors back in 2003 and still presents very well with very few stone chips and scratches. The wooden bed floor was replaced during the restoration and is in excellent condition. All glass is good with no cracks or chips. It had all new weatherstripping when it was restored. The emblems and hub caps are originals, not reproductions and are in excellent shape. It attracts a lot of positive attention and would certainly receive a lot of interest if you were to take it to a classic car show.
The interior is in remarkable condition. I am very impressed with the condition of the dashboard and gauges. All gauges function correctly. The heater works. The horn works. The dome light works. The windows roll up and down smoothly. The doors close and latch effortlessly. The vents open and close smoothly. There is one very small tare on the side of the seat vinyl where it looks to have been caught by a sharp object. This is very very minor and barely noticeable. Overall the interior is a real time warp making it even more nostalgic to drive.
I can not emphasize enough how impressive the condition of this truck is. It really does show very well. It is very unique being a rarer GMC rather than the common Chevrolet and even more special being an unusual Canadian specification example. Bid with confidence and feel free to message with any questions. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.

who we are and what we do

We are two brothersthat seek out original trucks and cars fromall acrossCanada specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.

We started heading North to source these vehicles several years ago due to the severe lack of such vehicles in the US in recent times due to our huge car culture. Most American barn finds have long been found and tampered with by several owners yet North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good solid original vehicles waiting to be brought back to life.

We make these great vehicles available to the US market by importing them into the US and providing all required paperwork to acquire a Clear US Title in your own name in your home State.

We also specialize insourcing Mercuryand Fargo trucks and have successfully imported and found new homes for dozens of fine original examples.

We are passionate about finding the best thatthere is and understand that our customers want to see automobiles that have not been tampered with; the more original, the better.

Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.

The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project orsolid bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers will deliver.
