The wheelbase and series names, One-Fifty, Two-Ten and Bel Air, were about the only things that were carried over. 1955 brought about big improvements that included better brakes, handling, steering and interior room. 1955-1957 were watershed years for Chevrolet, who spent a million dollars in 1956 alone for retooling, in order to make their less expensive Bel Air models look more like a Cadillac.

Under the Hood

• Engine compartment just underwent an extensive detail with many new chrome parts and accessories. Entire engine bay was sanded down, degreased, cleaned, and painted semi-gloss black for fresh and a clean look.
• This car is powered by a 350 Small Block Chevy that has just been tuned up with all new spark plugs, wires, and fresh fluids.
• The engine features modern centerbolt cylinder heads, an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake Manifold, and a brand new Holley Carburetor all of which provide excellent torque and horsepower for cruising on the streets!

• Car is backed by a 2004R Fully Automatic Transmission with Overdrive to make driving on the highway as smooth as possible.
• The 2004R features a 0.67 4th Gear Ratio which brings the RPM's down at higher speeds allowing you to drive on the highway and keep up with traffic without the Engine screaming and burning tons of fuel!
• This is unlike many other transmissions that are typically installed in cars of this era. The 2-Speed Powerglide, TH350, and TH400 all have a 1.00 Final Gear Ratio making it very difficult to go at speeds above 50 mph without a very high rear end gear which can cost you some torque on the streets. The 2004R and even the 700R4 Transmissions are a perfect balance for street and highway driving classic cars!
• Brand New Holley 4160 600 CFM 4-Barrel Vacuum Secondary Carburetor with Electric Choke that was just installed and tuned for easy cold startups, great street performance, and reliability.
• Brand New EZSteer Hydraulic Power Rack and Pinion Power Steering Conversion system that was just installed and works fantastic!
• This system is not a traditional power steering setup you would find with a steering box, a plethora of tie-rod ends, and a center link. You're seeing a 60+ year old car with a 21st century style suspension/steering system that is found in new Mustangs, Corvette's, Camaro's, etc. This big tank truly handles like a dream and is super responsive to any steering wheel movement.
• There are very few cars out there on the market that have such extensive amounts of modern upgrades like this one does and none of which are selling at No Reserve!
