This C10 began its life in Arizona. where it has stayed for the past 46 years! You will not find a straighter. more solid. ABSOLUTELY RUST FREE truck anywhere! This truck has been torn down to the frame. and built back up with every nut. bolt. and crevice restored to professional show quality standards with no expense spared. and built with only the finest parts the industry offers. The difference between this truck and other “rust free” trucks is that this truck is truly a rust free Arizona gem. There has been no patch paneling. panel replacement. or rust treatment…. why?. because this truck has never even seen surface rust. or required the need for extensive repairs like other C10’s in comparison. This truck has received an extensive nut and bolt. frame off restoration. with no leaf left unturned. These areas include: Drivetrain – 1970 Corvette LS5 454 motor. bored and stoked to well over 500+ HP. with a Competition Cam. Lunati Gear Drive. Complete MSD ignition system including – distributor. wires. fuel pump booster. and ignition box. Hooker long tube headers. 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust with custom side mounted chrome tips. Demon 850cfm mechanical secondary carburetor. chrome under-mount serpentine pulley system. and dual electronic fans. The transmission is a period correct completely re-built 3 speed Turbo HydraMatic TH400 automatic transmission with column shift. and 1500 stall converter. The rear end is a shortened (4 inches overall) Ford 9 inch rear with 373 gearing. with custom heavy duty racing axles. hubs and wheel studs. The motor and transmission have been recently rebuilt and have a little over 500 miles on them. all fuel lines are steel braided front to back. with a custom race fuel tank (with safety Foam) that has been properly moved to the rear of the truck. one piece heavy duty drive line with new yolks and U-joints. Beyond the bones of the drive train. all other components have been stripped and painted to factory OEM specifications. chrome dress up parts have been applied. as have custom panels under the hood. and every wire. gasket. seal. plug. connector. nut or bolt has been replaced with factory OEM new parts. Suspension / Frame / Brakes / Wheels – The trucks frame was acid stripped and neutralized to remove its tarnished factory paint finish. then professionally re-painted with POR-15 gloss black chassis paint. as were all perches. upper and lower control arms. trailing arms. etc. All bushing’s. are new including sway bar. body bushing. and suspension areas. The frame has been professionally C-notched. and was given top of the line Hotchkis rear suspension components to keep the horsepower on the ground. Ball joints. bushings. front lowering springs. tie rods. sway bar. lowering spindles. ect are all new. All suspension components are brand new and allow the truck to handle and maneuver better than they could have dreamed in 1969. The truck has been converted to disk brakes both front and rear. and also received a brand new master cylinder and brake booster to handle its new braking abilities. All brake lines. pads. calipers. and rotors are new and stop the truck on a dime! After brakes were completed. the truck was given a set of brand new Nitto tires. with a staggered 22x9 front and 22x11 rear - wheel setup that truly sets the look of the truck off. Exterior – The truck underwent extensive bodywork and paint to ensure that all lines were laser straight. and show worthy. The trucks doors. outer cowl panel. tailgate. side markers. all trim. and stake holders in the bed have all been professionally shaved to give the truck an amazing sleek and custom look. The doors operate with a vintage AutoLoc 80lb door popper system with two remote control functionality key fobs. After all bodywork was completed. the truck received PPG GM Titanium Graystone Metallic basecoat. and 3 coats of PPG high solids clear coat. After paint. the truck was professionally color sanded and buffed to perfection to reveal a very deep and show worthy shine. Furthermore the truck has a brand new chrome bumper. all exterior rubber and seals are brand new. as are the emblems. tailgate latches. bolts and bed wood. The bed wood has been completely hand crafted from scratch made from the original yellow pine these C10’s came with from the factory. pre-treated. stained in a red oak. sealed. then clear coated with the same 3 coats of PPG high solids clear that the body received. The wood was then color sanded and buffed as well to reveal an amazing shine. All stainless bed hardware is brand new. The bed is a standout. and main talking piece of the truck when brought to a local event or show. All glass is original and in amazing shape! Interior – The interior of this amazing truck has received extensive attention to detail. starting with complete primer sealer. paint. and finally dynamate to sound proof everything. Following was a custom hand crafted factory correct loop carpet that runs all the way up the firewall. and is sectioned to provide a custom look and perfect fit everywhere it reaches. The original bench seat was re-contoured and given brand new foam. burlap. and an amazing seat cover with French seams. and a one off design concept. Also added were custom made full length door panels. steering wrap. kick panels and full dash pad all made to match and flow with the rest of the interior design. The “scarlet red” interior truly sets off the exterior color of the truck. and is a classy yet custom touch that looks sensational! Also added was a brand new CCP steering column. shaft and knuckle. billet steering wheel. door and window roller handles. wiring. glove box. inner window crank mechanisms weather stripping. gauges etc. The truck Contains the wiper motor and switch that still work and functions properly. This is a 3rd owner truck that can be driven and shown anywhere with pride and confidence.
