Car description

I am selling my '57 Chevy "150" project car. Does not have a motor or transmission. I was building this car for myself but I will not be able to finish it. This description is sort of long but I want to describe the car as best I can. The car came from Texas where it sat for many years. The car as never been repainted and the original paint is sun baked. It still has all it's original sheet metal. Quarters are original and straight. I did replace the floor pans and the short brace on each side. Everything is butt welded so from underneath the car everything looks original. So now the pans, braces, inner and outer rockers are perfect. The body was taken off the frame and now has new body mounts. The driver and passenger side rocker by the door has been repaired and left bare to show the work. The tailpan is original and needed only one spot repaired which was also left bare. The original tailpan brace did not need replacing and is still in place. The driver side trunk floor needed a patch which I took from an original floor so that all the contours match. The wheel houses are excellent and all the spot welds are visible. The spare tire well is original and perfect. The trunk lid has no rust on the lower lip but does have some rust by the hinges. Both doors are solid on the bottom but the passenger door has some rust on the inside front and up high by the vent window. I tried to show this in the pictures. Both fenders are straight but do need repair at the bottom. The hood is straight and solid. The roof is good and the drip rails are very nice. The windshield and back glass openings are solid with no rust. Has the original windshield and backglass but has no side glass. All the old wiring has been removed. The rearend housing has been painted and has all new brake parts, brake lines and emergency brake cable. The frame is straight with good frame horns and no signs of damage. The hard to find "150" side mouldings have been professionally polished and are in excellent condition. I have most of the parts needed to put the car back together which I tried to show in the pictures. An assembly manual is also included. Also has the correct front and rear seats. Also comes with these new parts: windshield and back glass rubber, door and trunk weatherstrip, side glass weathers strip and fuzzies, tailpan seal, cowl seal, rear shock bar, trunk mat, vent window rubber kit, and fender anti squeak kit. If you are looking for a solid, rare "150" Chevy this could be for you. This is a no reserve auction.
