1979 Chevrolet Camaro with Factory Z28 option and CC1 factory T-Top option This Factory Custom Ordered RPO Z28 Camaro was built at the Norwood Chevrolet Plant and was delivered through Courtesy Chevrolet in Cincinnati. Ohio as a fully optioned model. Which included items ordered like Air Conditioning. Power windows. Center console. 3. 42 rear axle and (RPO CC1) removable roof tops. Through the years. she still retains her original Build Sheet that shows her custom order and many many options. although their are a few options that we are unable to decipher from the aged build sheet. The Z28 was the only Camaro to be fitted with 15" wheels as standard equipment. One look at this Bright Blue Z28 Camaro and you will immediately notice its correct body panel placement and gaps completed with a fresh repaint of its original (24) Bright Blue finish. No signs accident damage and extremely rust free. This cars body is amazing even down to the detail of not having the “door sag” that so many cars of this generation have. Original trim work is in good condition with only a few nicks or creases visible. The T-Tops are original and other than a couple of dings in the trim they are in excellent condition and still retain their original T-Top Bags along with its space saver spare and air canister in the trunk. This Z28 has the desirable (F) option on the build which gives you some amazing suspension upgrades. Equipped with F41 special suspension which give you higher rated springs. stiffer shocks. and a thick rear sway bar. That paired with the J50 Power front disc brakes. (GU6) 3. 42 rear axle and the Z28 Performance package make this car an aggressive ride. The motor compartment houses a 350 V8. Although. not its original numbers matching example it was replaced with a 350 V8. The motor compartment visually appears correct and is finished off nicely. It was ordered as an A/C car although the system will need to be gone through. Underneath this Camaro it is extremely straight and solid. All four corners have factory correct 15” five spoke steel wheels. wrapped in a brand new set of BFGoodrich Radial TA tires. Glass and exterior appointments are all in great shape. It is apparent that that example was extremely well cared for over the years as with most 70’s cars it is easy to tell a run down example to a well cared for one. The interior is either original or recovered to appear like original. The seats are in great shape as is the carpet and interior plastics from console to steering wheel. It does have a well fitting dash cap and is missing the lens on the dome light. It has fresh sill plates and the weather stripping is in great condition. Take a look at the photographs as it is our experience that you can really tell the difference in quality cars by how their interior plastics have held up. This generation of Camaro is a great addition as a collector car to invest in. take to local car events or park within a collection.
