Car description

1985 Chevrolet El Camino Only 61,688 Miles One Owner Since New Excellent Original Condition Built by Choo Choo Customs VIN: 3GCCW80H6FS911998 Choo Choo Customs ID: CCC/EBP5-883/911998 We purchased this 61k-mile '85 "Choo Choo" El Camino from the daughter of the original owner, a Michigan gentleman who had recently passed away. His daughter told us that this car was his pride and joy and that he was nothing short of meticulous about it; having now spent time around the car, it's clear that was indeed the case. This car is bone-stock original, with the exception of the passenger door having been repainted at some point, and presents phenomenally well inside, outside, and underneath. The car runs and drives beautifully; buy with confidence folks, this car is one of good ones. Exterior: - See video with listing, as every blemish on the car is shown close-up and in direct sunlight. The most major cosmetic imperfections on the car are found on the passenger door; these imperfections include a spot of visible paint run just behind the side mirror, as well as a vertical scratch at the very bottom of the door. There is also some light spiderwebbing of the paint on the rear hatch. - Black/Grey/Red is one of our favorite colorways, and it looks fantastic on the car. - Wheels are in nice shape, with nothing more than some very minor oxidation along the outermost ring. Goodyear tires are in excellent shape, with 10/32" tread remaining (about 90%). - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free - Chrome is very nice throughout. There are a couple small dings in the driver door mid-line trim. Interior: - Interior is mint throughout. Maroon leather with corduroy inserts. - Seats show no wear or damage. No scuffs, fade, or anything of the sort. - Dash is perfect. No cracks, scratches, or blemishes. - Air conditioning was converted to R134a in 2013 and blows cold. Heat, fan, defrost are functional. While we can hear the speakers turn on, the head unit is not functional. - All gauges are functional. Odometer reads just over 61k and is accurate. - Red carpeting is in excellent shape, as are the Choo Choo Customs floor mats. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Please take a look through the photos/video, as the underbody is shown in detail. Underbody is bone dry. Absolutely no through rust, and barely even any surface rust other than on the exhaust. This car has been garage kept and babied and it shows. - The car runs and drives extremely well. Starts right up, sounds great, idles cool and steady, shifts smoothly, and accelerates without any hesitation. The truck tracks dead straight under both acceleration and braking, and the brakes are excellent. Steering is light as a feather. Wouldn't hesitate to hop in for a long drive tomorrow; the car is nicely sorted. - This car has the H-code 305ci 5.0L V8 and 3spd automatic - While this is a one-owner car, documentation is very limited. The seller was unaware of any paperwork that her father kept on the car. Overall this is a rare, clean, original, low-mileage example in the right color scheme. It's sure to make the next owner very happy. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-273-8257.
