Car description

I bought this car about 10 years ago out of a garage where it had sat since 1984. Got it home and finally started to find out it had a bad cylinder. I paid 5k for it as it was. So I went to worth. Had engine done. eeded hone. ot bore. All new pistons. ings. alves. prings lifters. il pump. ll bearings. urned crank. new cam and all things to make engine new. 3 angle valve job and port and polish. My friends were all racing boats at the time and using this machine shop so I went there too. Engine was built to make 400 hp. I never did dyno but it feels right. Also had tranny reworked adding mils shift kit and 2500 stall converter. Did all new u- joints and bearings in rear end. Complete new brakes. omplete new front end except steering stabilizer and steering box. We put all new parts on engine when going from short block to long block. Msd ignition. olly 750 double pumper and alum intake with msd distributer and coil. New suspension including new transverse leaf spring in back. If it could be replaced I did it. That's how spent so much in parts. I have receipts for $ 15. 92. 95 in parts. The carb. sd stuff. intake. and transmission work I can't find receipts for. I know that is another 2500 or so. And then labor costs are not included except for engine shop as it is all on one invoice. I never felt the car was complete so I just didn't drive it. Less than 500 miles. Kept it in my garage for years with hot battery so I could run it every now and then. Always kept gas good as I had already installed new gas tank and lines and fuel pump. So my friends and I would stand around and drink beer till someone wanted to start er up. I had installed coated long tube headers and electric cut-outs too. New mufflers too and either 2 1/2 or 3" pipe. an't remember which. So exhaust can be loud or insane loud with cut-outs open. As I type this I keep thinking of other parts I added along the way such as oversize anti sway bar on front and bought one for the back but never installed it. I did the new hood as the engine was to high for the original one but I still have and it goes with car. The front bumper cover was needed as the old plastis was just about gone. The interior is ok but the old carpet is gone as it was faded and nasty so I threw it away. Never got around to replacing it. I did buy and install new seat belts to be safe. I added tach as dash one didn't work. I never even tried to repair. Also new temp gauge for the new motor. New radiator and double electric fan unit installed. Runs cool even in Texas heat. I removed the a/c hoses etc as I didn't want the clutter. The can runs and drives fine. I just don't need it and lost interest. Plus I need a crane to get in and out of it. So. Here is a car with a bunch of money and time in it that I will sell at a huge loss and somebody gets a real deal. And I get some garage space back.
