1969 Camaro Resto-Mod
So you've been thinking about getting a Hot-rod, but cant believe the prices that they've rocketed up to ! Well heres a chance to buy a lot of Camaro for a relatively low price. Most people know that the term Resto-mod is used to describe a car that has been restored in a modified way so as to enhance its driving ability. Well this car is the epitome of that phrase. I would also use the term "tribute" or "clone" as well, since it now has features that were never on the car when it was manufactured back in 1969.
This camaro started life as a 6 cylinder, 3 speed, Hugger orange car with standard black interior. It has been rebuilt over the years into a Big-Block 454 cid, 4 speed car with both SS and RS features. With all these mods, comes a car with a lot of power thats fun to drive. The nice thing about it is the price makes it a truly affordable "kick-ass" Muscle car that you will be proud to drive to any car show or weekend cruise.
The following paragraphs highlight the features of the car:
Body
The body and floor pan of this Camaro are in great shape. If you look at the photos you will see that all the panels are straight and the gaps are good. The trunk floor has no rust, and the floor pan is in fantastic condition. The paint is in great condition and is very shiny and smooth with just a few nicks. It has gloss black SS style stripes as well as a Cowl induction hood, trunk spoiler, and a RS hidden headlight conversion. Along with the conversion, Detroit Speed power headlight door motors were added to do away with the vacuum system. The Black vinyl top is in fantastic condition and really sets off the paint. All the glass is in very good condition.
Interior
The interior of the car is in very good condition. It is a standard black bucket seat interior. The dash and/or panels are very good, but the carpet does have a few slight spots of fading. Since the car has a 4 speed, it had a center console added that has 4 gauges. The gauges added were Oil press, Water temp, Volt and Vacuum. The dash is standard, and only has the speedo and fuel gauge. There is a Jvc stereo and cd player. It has a custom Billet steering wheel, that does have some tearing in the leather. The car does have Vintage Air A/C, which makes it a good summer cruiser as well
Motor
The heart of the beast is currently a built 454cid casting number (361959). It has a factory style aluminum intake, with a new Holley vacuum secondary carb with a dual feed inlet. It has a MSD distributor with MSD coil and Soft Touch rev limiter. The motor dynode at 440hp after having the heads redone. The motor has Jet hot coated headers feeding into a true dual exhaust with chrome tips. The motor is dressed with Billet valve covers, a Muscle car style air cleaner and some chrome pulley's. The radiator is a Ron Davis unit with dual electric fans and a new High flow water pump.
Driveline
The big block is backed up by a Muncie 4 speed feeding to a 12 bolt rear end with 3.42 rear gears. The front suspension has been up-graded with a full tubular A-arm kit (upper and lower), delrin bushings, billet cross shafts and an up-graded front sway bar. The car rolls on classic 15 in Chevrolet Rally Wheels. The tires are Cooper Cobra radial GT and are in great shape. The fronts are
235/60/15 and the rears are 245/60/15.
This Camaro is located in Boise, Idaho and can be seen or driven by appointment. There is no warranty expressed or implied on the vehicle.
