Car description

1954 Corvette Resto-Mod with LS1 motor custom built for a very high level General Motors Executive, who wanted the ultimate 1954 Corvette. Combining the classic 1954 look with modern technology and the Harley Earl Motorama style details of the period GM show cars. C4 suspension replaced the original 1954 units, and LS1 was transplanted into the engine bay using the 4L60E automatic transmission to transfer the power to the rear wheels. Beautifully custom designed and detailed underhood also represents the period Motorama Show cars.
The "Harley Earl feel" was further accomplished by the custom interior, featuring the one off center console and armrest as well as the french seam and custom sculpted seats allowing for a 6'2" person to drive the carcomfortably.Rear viewmirrors are characteristic of the GM period show cars thus helping create more of the "Harley Earl feel". The original steering wheel was replaced by a smaller diameter wheel custom stitched. All of the body gaps were meticulously done to 3/16 of an inch. The rear bumpers were welded and metal finished into single units and fit snug to the body. 2.5 inch custom stainless steel exhaust, with Flowmaster mufflers, customdrive shaft, among several other special parts were done for this car. The car rides on classic Halibrand style wheels similar to the Indy cars of the period with 245/50ZR16 on all four corners. In 2004 it won the Best in Class as well as Best Sports in show at the Detroit Autorama and has appeared in several magazine articles. This car was built by Advanced Automotive Technologies in Rochester Hills Michigan. They are the same company that built the Buick Blackhawk, the LaSalle C Hawk, the SSUV Jeep, and over 200 of the Commemorative Edition Corvettes (the 1953 looking Vettes on the C-5 Corvettes). Advanced Automotive Technologies is known for their impeccable quality for allof the vehicles that they build. The car was also displayed at the Corvette Museum along with a seminar regarding it's design and build. Even Dave Hill, the Corvette Chief Engineer (pictured in the car) loved it.
