Up for auction is one nice 1972 El Camino. This car was purchased by the current owner in early 1973 as a dealer demo. My friend has now owned the car for 41 years. (one owner) but now has decided to sale. Originally a SS 350 car converted to a well built big block 461 with crane cam. with big heads; New 400 turbo hydro transmission; rebuilt 12 bolt rear end; air conditioned; disc front brakes. 10. 88 miles on frame up restoration. Vinyl top and windshield were also replaced at the same time and car was stripped and painted with DuPont 99s diamond black acrylic lacquer with carmine red hood insert. (Very Very Nice) The tailgate is shaved and trim was removed. The rest of the car has new stainless steel trim . Bumpers were re chromed. Original SS wheels with trim rings and caps were freshly powder coated. (original spear wheel dose comes with) The interior was reupholstered including power bucket seats. new carpets and head liner. buy well known Matton's Upholstery. The pickup's bed floors are straight and spotless. ( Please look at pictures closely) The cars speedometer was replaced at restoration and the current mileage reading is 10. 88 miles. The car is a great driver and shows very well at all events. It has had several awards at many shows. This little Chevy starts easy and runs very strong. The paint dose have a few thin spots from to much polishing and has a nick or two.
