Once it was removed the this listing was revised and a few photos were changed out.NO RESERVEon this stunning 1964 Corvette Sting Ray has had a lovingly and painstakingly "frame off" restoration by Picture Car Warehouse Inc located in Northridge California.MOVIE HISTORY:In 2007 this Corvette was painted silver, and had a black interior installed to doubled as one of the Hero cars used in the Movie 7 Pounds starring Will Smith.This was one of two Vettes that did not do the crash scene out of five Vettes that we supplied.In 2013,the body was featured in "Snake And Mongoose", the garage scene.The winner of this auction will get a Certificate Of Authenticity. CREATION:This is avery early 64 Stingray, in fact itis the 0111 Vette to come off theSt Louisassembly line, vin # 40837S100111. This Corvette was borna true 4 speed 327/365 HP Engine Block Serial # 4100111 F0827RE, in agorgeousRed on Red.THE BUILD:
In 2008 the body was removed from the frame, then completely disassembled including thechassis. Every part was either replaced or refinished including hardware, brackets, nuts, bolts and screws. The body was stripped down andrepainted to its original factory colorRiver Side Red,code number 923 paint. The interior was also stripped and replaced with a Legendary Auto Interiors factory replacementinterior and Dash Pad color number 490AA. Sound deadening Dynamat material was installed under the new carpet for a quieter factory ride.The engine was rebuilt by Burbank Speed and Machine utilizing the numbers matching 327/365 HP block, serial #4100111 F087RE(RE denotes 327/365HP). All new hoses, belts, alternator, wiring harness, and electrical components were installed. All the cluster gauges were rebuilt and refaced by Redline Gauge Works. All new tires, steel wheels, complete rear leaf spring assembly, ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, all sleeves, bushings, control arm bumpers basically the complete front end steering andsuspension assembly,shocks, Hub caps, emblems, gas cap, fan, aluminum radiator, windshield wiper motor assembly, exhaust system, brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake lines, bumpers, door handles, door locks, windshield washer arms, were installed, and basicallyall or most of the bright trim outside was replacedas well as the rocker panels and sill plates. Also installed are newwindow felts and window rubber.There are many more new parts too much to list howeveryou are invited and encouraged to come to our location in Northridge, California for a greater detail look and inspection.EPILOGUE:This Stingray is owned and was restored by Picture Car Warehouse Inc.The restoration took a period of 8 years and we finished it 2/28/2017
