Car description

The muscle car era wasn't over in the 1990s, it just moved on to the trucks. This 1990 Chevrolet C1500 SS with the numbers-matching 454 combines big block power, with the lightest half-ton chassis, to create the first muscle truck of the modern era.Slick black is the best way to have such an aggressive pickup, and the factory-correct color has a dark mirror shine thanks to a professional respray in the last couple of years to bring it to exceptional qualioty. The exterior strikes that perfect balance of keeping all the right stock elements with a few of the right upgrades. It starts up front with the new more aggressive power bulge in the hood. It has the correct blacked-out grille and red bow tie combined with a new lower front valance. It helps set up the lowered suspension that gives this sports pickup a true performance stance. There's a lockable bed cover for better aerodynamics and security, and it all ends in a custom flush rear bumper with hidden trailer hitch. This one also has a touch of added flash with new knock-off style wheels, bright fender flares, and shiny exhaust tips. It isn't a true first-year SS truck without the Garnet red interior and the premium cloth bucket seats. It's quite flashy and looks awesome, especially when viewing it through the vivid black exterior paint. A center armrest console provides extra storage and a set of cup holders, which is a nice feature that doesn't yet come on many classics. All SS pickups came loaded, including air conditioning, power windows, power locks, tilt steering column, cruise control, and the original dual panel AM/FM/cassette stereo. But, as much as you might think of this as a luxury machine, the added large tach on the dash reminds you of its true power. This one is beautifully preserved with the seats showing almost zero seat time (one reason why we believe the ultra-low mileage is the actual.) We already hinted at the monster 454 cubic-inch fuel-injected big block under the hood. This comes from the grand muscle car tradition of Chevy grabbing the largest motor they had, and shoehorning it into one of the smallest, lightest bodies for exceptional performance. These engines were initially intended to do work, but then were installed in an 800 pound lighter pickup...so you know this one has some serious power to spare. The numbers-matching engine runs superbly and rumbles with authority. You'll be proud to pop the hood at any car show or cruise-in because it has an interesting sinister black appearance with a couple of chrome upgrades that fills every inch of the engine bay. The three-speed TH400, and unique 14-bolt rear end help reliable performance. This one is also quite capable on the road thanks to a sports car-like ratio on the power steering, and power brakes with discs up front. The muscle car/truck package is complete with BF Goodrich tires at all four corners. This big power truck has likely averaged only 1,050 miles per year, and comes with its owner's manual. This tells you how much it has been cherished. In fact, this Chevy recently crossed the twenty-five year mark to make it a true classic (and auction results in early 2016 prove it). Now is the time to strike at a value price before this rare beast appreciates even further. Call today!
