This is a true 68 Chevelle SS with the original motor numbered TO307ET 18K178794 with a turbo 400 transmission and a number matching rear end. The car originally came from Van Chevrolet in Mission Kansas. It is a two owner car both who have now passed. I started to do a brake job on this car and just couldn't seem to stop, ut I have now! I am selling this for the second owners widow. This is a frame off, ower coated frame, arms, rive line, ender wells, nd pretty much if it would unbolt it got power coated. The floors were scraped of all the undercoating and painted the original color of the car (satin, o gloss) there was no rust anywhere on the floor pans very solid have the pics to prove it. I did not mess with the paint on this car was fairly good. it does look like someone put patch panels at the wheel well must have been some rust there on both sides but not sure this car has been in AZ most of it's life and I do not see no rust anywhere. The motor got bored 30 over with new pistons rings bearings and a 10 10 grind on the crank, new small comp cam and lifter, timing chain, il pump, nd a valve job with hardened seats and springs and retainers and guides . The transmission turbo 400 shifts hard most likely a shift kit but works great and has stainless steel lines. The AC blows cold all rebuilt even under the dash with new compressor still R12. All new ball joints tie rod ends pitman rod, dler arm, ront and rear springs, teering box and hoses and rebuilt pump (power steering) works great! Disk brakes were put on the front of the car with new master cylinder, rake booster, tainless steel lines and new rear cylinders, hoes and drums. New gas tank and stainless steel line. The interior of the car is good and has been done with some cloth inserts and all seat belts are there. This was a vinyl top car most of all the major work is done could use some little things like new plastic on the door panels the vinyl top and maybe the stripe not sure it had it. There is two small cracks at the top of the quarter panel in the paint (could be covered up with the vinyl top) paint is not the original color corvette red. This car only has 150 miles on it since finishing to hot to drive in AZ but just got its first oil change ready to go. I'm sure there's more.
