Task Force

3/4 Ton Pick Up

As cool trucks go, his one has the cool factor for sure and is ice cold!

In order to have a great truck you must first start off with a good truck.

Take a look at this survivor!

It is as a friend calls it "Patina Perfect",,, ?? I asked him to elaborate on this comment since the truck has survived many years and is extremely solid for an unrestored 65 plus yr old vehicle.

He says,,"Notice how cool this truck is on the outside as well as the inside, t must have been born solid blue or blue/black and it looks like it was only painted once a long time ago" He showed me an area under the hoodwhere the beige has chipped and you can see blue underneath. He also poited out that previous owners kept the important rust prone areas always covered with paint hence the brush touch lines around the cab seams. That showed 'cared for' ownership, his truck was definitely preserved.

Underhood you will notice the bullet proof Inline 6cyl that GM is so proud of. It has been refreshned and looks as great as it runs!

This engine series has hadmany proven successful applications over the years inside many GM vehicles and has stood the test of time proudly.(very desirable).

The interior is as expected from a 65yr old truck, lain and functional with no frills.

The vinyl can be assumed that it has been replaced a long time ago as well due to not being probable that is in this good of shape for all these years but we could be wrong... It does have the typical burlap backing, aybe it is original,,,but not sure.

Bottom line is that this truck starts well with the foot starter, uns great, hifts great, ooks awesome!

Other than a few blemishes and the mirrors being relocated, his truck is Awesome!

We loved it since we first laid our eyes on it, e're sure you will too.

This truck provides a great platform and gives you plenty of bones to start building your drem ride from should you choose to resto-mod or restore it.

and Good Luck Bidding!

Chevrolet's first major redesign post-World War II, he Advance-Design series was billed as a bigger, tronger, nd sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. First available on Saturday June 28, 947, hese trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 955, hen the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance-Design model.

The same basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the Suburban, anel trucks, anopy express and cab overs. The cab overs used the same basic cab configuration and similar grille but used a shorter and taller hood and different fenders. The unique Cab Over fenders and hood required a custom cowl area which makes the Cab Over Engine cabs and normal truck cabs incompatible with one another while all truck cabs of all weights interchange.

From 1947 until 1955, hevrolet trucks were number one in sales in the United States, ith rebranded versions sold at GMC locations.[3]

While General Motors used this front end sheet metal, nd to a slightly lesser extent the cab, n all of its trucks except for the Cab Overs, here are three main sizes of this truck: the half-, hree-quarter-, nd full ton capacities in short and long wheelbase.
