Car description

Being offered for sale is my 1968 Cadillac Couple DeVille which I have owned for four years now. This car is wonderful condition and runs and drives down the road just fine. It always starts right up and doesn’t smoke at all. The odometer (functional) is currently showing 88,689 miles, I have no reason to think it has ever rolled over given the great condition of the rest of the car.

The car runs and drives very smooth. There are no leaks and the vehicle doesn’t overheat. This is a non-factory A/C car. Everything works as it should, with the exception of the right turn signal (you have to hold the turn signal lever in place to make right turns to make the signal work). The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the brakes work as they should (they are four-wheel drum). The car was professionally tuned up last year (receipt included).

The exterior is the factory color, which is a unique color called, Kashmir Ivory. It is the factory color, however the car has been repainted here and there in the same color. The paint is not perfect by any means but the car still gets a ton of compliments. Some parts of the paint are faded. Some of the paint is thin (worn) as well. Some say it has “patina”. When I purchased the car, I planned on painting the car black due to the wonderful red interior. Over the years, this color has grown on me and I am quite fond of it. It’s certainly something you don’t see every day and its period correct. There is some small rust bubbles on the bottom of the fenders but aside from that, the car is very clean and has no rust in the trunk or floor boards.

The interior is a factory bright red. Overall, it is in really good shape. There are no major tears in the seats, the headliner is in great shape, and there are no cracks on the dash under the dash cover I added. I had the windows tinted professionally. All the interior lighting and gauges work well. I have added an OEM looking digital stereo that has an AUX jack and USB port. When off, it looks like the factory stereo did. When on, it has a digital display. I also replaced the speakers, so it sounds quite nice for cruising.

The vehicle is also on Air-Ride (air bags). I installed a custom kit made by BC Fabrication ($2600) myself. The kit has worked flawlessly since installed.

The tires have under 3,000 miles on them and are Coker Classic brand. The rims are the factory wheels with 50’s replica Cadillac hubcaps.

The dual exhaust shoots straight out the back and has different mufflers. The sound is very nice and is not loud or obnoxious at all but it has a little rumble to it while still sounding classy.

I’ve made a walk-a-round video of the car which is hosted on YouTube. This also includes a quick drive around the neighborhood so you can get a little bit of a feel of how the car runs and drives. The video link is here:https://youtu.be/pi7DRVnPURU

I’ve really enjoyed this car over the years but I am trying to reduce some of my collection. It’s unfair to let some of these cars sit so I hope someone else can enjoy them. It’s certainly not a show piece, but for a car being 52 years old now, it presents itself quite well and looks great. As they say, it’s a perfect driver. The vehicle is currently registered to me and I have the Utah title free and clear in my possession. The vehicle is located in South Jordan, Utah (southern part of Salt Lake City).
